So stressing... if he does need to order IRS transcripts... I think it'll take long... and on the Embassy forum...they are all too advanced in taxes 101 with me and I think they're getting frustrated with me lol!

This is the number to order transcripts:

Request transcripts by calling 1-800-829-1040

Website states to allow 2 weeks for delivery but I know other filers have reported having them faxed the same day. It's worth a try.

Good luck

I'm going to wait for our lawyer to get back to me.

I did find the I-134 requirements on the US Gov site, and it states for a self employed person, they ask for a copy of your most recent tax return, and that's it? They say that copies are ok, as long as they are legible... ugh the stress :(

Hey guys :) I'm so excited to see all of you with interview dates! Makes all the waiting seem worth it eh? Be lucky that Montreal is moving so fast now - I had waited 4 months from the time I sent back my p3 to my interview :) But it's all worth everything you go through!

ANyway, I noticed you all were talking about Tax transcripts and all. For those of you doing a K-1 (the requirements are a bit diff for k-3/CR-1), if you look on the I-134, you don't need their tax forms at all. They never asked me for Bo's. I took a letter from his bank, a letter from his employer, a couple pay stubs and his bank statements. All they took from me was the two letters actually.

Hopefully this will lessen some of the stress on you guys!

The OLD version required a notary. The NEW one does not require a notary. However, if you're concerned, you can always get the NEW one notarized. Notaries will write their info as a part of their stamp or embosser.

I have the new form. I think I'm going to ask a friend of mine (who is a notary) to notarize my form anyway.

My fiance is self employed and has his own practice... he has none of those... no employment letter, pay stubs etc... tax returns is all he has... not even a 1099 that people are taking about :(

I think, I will get him to bring bank statements, his official corp stamp and his bus license.... wish me luck folks, or I will be one crazy denied woman when I get back... with no place to live lol!

When you say some had to wait longer, are we talking weeks here?? Like, do some need more processing than others, or is it simply Canada Post wait times?

I should probably get all my paperwork together... I'm just being lazy and putting everything off. I have 2 big essays and 3 exams to write before the interview comes up... rawr. But then again, I have a couple more weeks to prepare then you guys!

Bill ordered his tax transcripts from the IRS yesterday, so hopefully they'll come soon. I figure its better to be safe then sorry! And we'll need them for AOS later, so it won't be a waste of time.

Talk about bring a princess when it comes to hotel rooms... we booked the Hilton. But I think my fiance is worse then me when it comes to that stuff! (I'll probably get yelled at when he lurks and reads this later)

I thought the IRS transcripts were not needed for the interview??
