K-1 people waiting for interviews at Montreal

Well I have good news, but nothing about my interview date

I have successfully driven my family crazy with my slight downward-spiraling mood.

Bo and I were talking last night about possibly me going to visit in January, as work is basically non-existant and I won't get down for another couple months. I said that I would do up a budget today and we'd talk about it more today.

So I get home from my night shift and mention it to my parents, but only that it's a possibility because of money issues. My mother rolls her eyes and says " you're going..."

Eh?

Turns out my family has been plotting behind my back and my Christmas present was a plane ticket down to Raleigh in January. I kinda blew the surprise early and have to sill act surprise when my grandparents tell me about it at Christmas. I thought it was very thoughtful of everyone though.

So I feel a bit better. It will be over 4 months since we've seen each other byt he time I go down, but at least it will make the wait for the ever-elusive interview a little bit more tolerable.

That's all we can do for now....until we hear something from Montreal..we're gonna call today to find out but I am not that excited anymore....I am expecting nothing still but just want to find out...

Yeah, I have to get Bo to call now. I get so depressed when I hear the DoS agent say "no interview has been set up yet".

We're probably not even going to call until next Friday. I doubt they're going to work any faster, so I have just given up getting hopes up.

I'm going to visit my friend who just had her first baby yesterday. The little bundle of joy should cheer me up a little bit more

That's really sweet of your family Jenni. Visits are pretty much the only thing that keeps us going. We made a pact to just continue visits as normal until the interview. We're pretty lucky though because flights have been really cheap lately.

I honestly think that everyone will get their interviews scheduled in a batch in the next week.

I called the DOS, as per my weekly ritual, and today - they actually had great news! We have a date. My K-1 visa interview is on Jan 13th. Phew. We're so excited. We figured it was going to be a long, long wait still as time kept dragging on with nothing happening. But we have a date!

So, that's... three months ago now that we submitted our Packet 3, the interview date means four months since then, so not bad. We started in March 2008, so not quite a full year. Yippppeeeee. We finally have a date!

Can you tell we're excited?

good news folks..after reading Lori's post I called DOS just right now..I got an interview date..On Feb 11,2009..YIPEEEE!!!! I couldn't wait for my honey to get home..he's still at work ..so I called..I'm so happy!!!!!

I'm totally confused and saddened why ours would be so much later....guess that's just our rotten luck, they decided to go out of order for us =(. But I'm really happy for you guys!!.

So after reading that you guys got your dates, I had 20 mins before DoS closed, and I called. Wasn't expecting anything...

Now before anything, I would like to apologize for being so damn depressing and horribad and responding to people lately. I over dramatize sometimes, and I am sorry for it...It was childish, and I know there are more people waiting than just me

But...

I got my interview date today January 15th, at 9 am in Montreal.

Funny though, as I told you guys about the trip my family had planned for me...was going to be the 5th to the 20th

So that ticket will have the date changed to be my ticket for my US entry now

I'm so glad we've all heard something, everyone else that is waiting should give a call this week just in case.

SK&SP, I'm sorry your date is so much later than others. Hopefully the time will go quickly for all of us

Congrats everyone..it is so funny, Montreal is like scheduling backwards but at least we all got our dates ( well, at least most of us)..we can finally make plans now..i also got a new job..but I guess I won't be staying there for a long time...

hope everyone on the waiting list will hear something soon ...
