APPROVED!!!!!  :dancing: :joy: :dancing::dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

There should be another one right about now too, I imagine!

I will write a full review later, but just wanted to say that like everyone else says it really is the easiest part of the whole process!

I also wanted to thank you all so much for all your help in getting me well informed and prepared! I have no doubt that you guys are the reason this went so smoothly! Seriously thanks a TON! I would take you all out for drinks right now if I could! Since that's not really possible, how about some flowers instead? :energy: :energy: :energy:

When he goes for his interview, do we need to have an official copy of my birth certificate, too (as the USC)???

I don't think it's necessary to have the petitioner's birth certificate at the interview. The petitioner includes a copy of the birth certificate in the I-129F at the very beginning. Correct me if I am wrong about this...

We used his passport as proof of citizenship and I assumed that I should probably have the original of everything that was in the submission for the interview in case they wanted to verify authenticity so I had his original passport. I have no idea whether this is necessary or not though. It certainly wasn't asked for though (see my review).

Hey all,

We sent our packet 3 to Montreal on January 19th and have since heard nothing. I have called DoS several times and they all say, "you're just waiting for the interview date, nothing yet". Today when i called the man (who was the only one that has ever been genuine in all the times I have called) said to email Montreal and see that the hold up was - implying I should have heard something by now.

What could cause the delay? What exactly do they do before sending me packet 4/interview date? What types of searches do they preform?

Anyone sending their packet 3's AFTER Jan. 19th and gotten an interview??

Thanks

Hey congratulations K34!!

So Chris received Packet 3 today! You'd think we'd be prepared for this! I have a few questions for you guys. All the forms he received are expired. I've already completed the newest version of the I-134. Do I need to submit an old one that's notarized or is the new version that doesn't require notarization okay? The DS-156K is also expired. Can he just use the most current version?

I'm so excited that things are finally moving! I don't care if we have to wait another eight months! I'll probably eat my words after a couple more months of waiting though.

Hey Francie...

Let me know as SOON as you get it :)

Where are you heading from? I am heading from Kitchener. I am hoping to be in the US late April early May. I am still thinking we may be late April interviews. We shall see! keep me updated.

You can use the new I-134 that does not require notarization. I've confirmed this with Montreal.

I am going to use the expired DS-156K. Bear in mind that this particular form must be signed in front of someone at the time of your interview.

Congrats, k34!!! Somehow I missed that yesterday. I hope everything goes as smoothly for the rest of us when we reach that point, as it did for you. Congrats, again!

Yeah, we did have a copy of it that we sent in, and I still have a copy of it in our files. I just didn't know if I needed the real deal when we went, or just his.

Thanks!
