Hey guys,

First off want to wish luck to all of you awaiting interview dates...exciting times! Hope Montreal's wait time isn't too long these days, although I've head anywhere from 2 to 4 to even 6 months depending on time of year!??

Our approved petition was sent from NVC to Montreal Consulate today!! Things are moving fast its exciting! :dancing:

That is I suppose until this Montreal process!!! How long after NVC sending/Montreal receiving did most of you receive P3? Just trying to find time to fill out the forms ahead of time and wondering how much time I have! Also I got my police certificate today so crossed that off my list.

Thanks!

Yes...our process has been thus far very, very lucky. I feel very, very blessed that our process has been smooth thus far, as I have been following the forum for a while and see how long people's petitions have been taking at CSC. I feel for the November/December filers who have and were waiting forever, that is rough!! There were a string of us February 2010 CSC filers approved in the past week....a little more then 13 in all I believe. So has been a good week!!

The consulate received our packet 3 on Feb. 19, we were told when our interview date would be on March 19, and the actual interview is on May 3. So I guess about 2.5 months but there were people who mailed in packet 3 in Jan who have dates for interviews later in May than my fiance and me. Just remember that nothing is linear, in and out.

My fiance' received his long form birth certificate yesterday afternoon. I am so thankful serviceOntario.ca did the trick to get it quickly (since he had thought his short form, wallet size birth certificate was enough but when I was looking over his documents to prepare for his interview, I noticed the instructions said "long form"). I didn't expect to get the certificate 2 days after requesting it and the request went in online on Sunday. Simply amazing. One less panic before the real deal on May 3. Now to get the I-134 filled out. Have almost all the documentation for it.

Nice! It took me a week or two to get the my long form certicate from Quebec. I already had one but wanted to be sure I had the correct long form!! I have to get my birth certificate translated as it is from Quebec. Still waiting on Packet 3 tho...

Yeah, serviceOntario seems to be on top of things. I was going to pay for the express option, but just went for the regular one and ended up getting it about the same time I would have if I'd paid the extra $30 or whatever it was.

Is everything coming along ok for you guys? You must be super excited!! It's just starting to sink in how close my interview is... and how much stuff I still have to do before I head out  ... can't wait though!

Yep, all is good for us. I am just waiting for my bank to give my record of deposits with a bank officer's signature for the form I-134 then I should be set with the information I have to provide for my fiance' at the interview. Only a week and a half to go! I can hardly wait!
