That is really weird. Three weeks ago when my fiance' filled out his application, Montreal was there. Maybe call the DOS at 202-663-1225 wait until you can pick 1 then listen for awhile longer until you can pick 0 to talk to a human. They open up at 8:30 a.m. eastern time and are open until 5 p.m.

I just called the DOS. The woman said at first, no they haven't received my fiance' packet 3. Oh, wait a minute, on March 1st Montreal received (and she rattled off a list of forms) but they "didn't qualify them". She then said that they were probably going to send something back to my fiance about it and I should call back later.

Anyone else get this "didn't qualify them (being the forms sent back"? Does the "didn't qualify them" mean he isn't eligible for an interview yet or something else entirely? We sent back everything they asked for on the form. Well, I will try again another day.

Just tried the form for you... That must be some mistake, especially considering that there is no Consulate in Toronto that handles these applications.

But I agree, I only see Toronto and Vancouver as options for Canada... Odd.

Thanks for checking.

I was starting to wonder if I was just blind or using the wrong link or something.

I wonder if they've put Toronto in there by mistake, but the form would actually be sent to Montreal.

I'll call DOS later.

That sucks... :( Im sorry to hear that.

I hope it doesnt take long for you to get your package back if they really are sending it back.

Well, I called again today and this time the woman said, "Yes, Montreal received your fiance's forms on March 1." No mention of "qualifying" them. Now I wonder how long it will take to get an interview date. I am so excited the forms are at least in someone's hands and maybe the next time I call they will tell me my fiance' is "eligible for an interview" and then the magic words "Your interview is scheduled for ...." Waiting, waiting, waiting.

Well, it seems that OP5 (is that operator 5) has been reading email for Montreal. I had sent on Fri., Feb. 12 a note saying we hadn't received my fiance's packet 3. Today, Fri., March 12 at 12:01 p.m. I got an email with the instructions for packet 3 then at 12:02 p.m. I got a message recalling the message that had just been sent (presumably because they looked up in the computer that my fiance had already sent back in the materials for packet 3). I am glad to know that the people in Montreal do finally get around to reading the email. I am equally happy that my fiance' already had the packet 3 though!

Well that's awesome to know that someone is actually reading it and that it doesn't just float off into space somewhere. I sent one a few months ago about something and never heard from them besides the automated that they send out.

Im trying to get ahead and do some preparing for the interview whenever that might be!

I was wondering...

-The original long form birth certificate and copy....is this the petitioner or the beneficiary...or both?

-What vaccinations are necessary for the medical

-What is the passport bio page?

Thanks so much!!
