David called dos today..my p3 was finally logged as of the 11th.

They are "restructuring their interview system" because of the backlog for september. We were told they hired new ppl. and i quote "every thing is pristinely beautiful, just your going to have to wait through the backlog 8-10 weeks" and they're moving through the backlog but they still have people from sept/oct needing dates still, "call back every day if you like, you might get one sooner"

lol quoted from David "Frigging DOS is Bipolar, several days in a row I get some madwoman who hangs up on me and is a witch, then today like the first 2 times I called I get someone who is super nice and sounds like they wish they could give me the date right there

I also didn't wait a second on hold

It was "your wait time is approximately three.....*RING*"

so i have good news in regards to my situation! montreal emailed me themselves today and said:

The file is complete, your forms were indeed received, as soon as a date is available we will advise you by mail. Due to the high volume of case this may take 2-4 months

i feel so much better now! knowing that the letter was indeed sent before the packet was logged. thank you all so much for your input!

I'm starting to relax a bit about waiting for our interview. Before I was worried that we'll miss our wedding. But since Montreal logged our case on December 9th I figure we'll get a March or even April interview.

And the first one to burst my bubble gets a kitty to the face. Seriously. My kitty poo is stealthy like a ninja. :P

I called NVC this morning and my petition hasn't been entered in their system yet :(. I was hoping it was already there because next Monday is a federal holiday and I wanted the package to make it to Montreal when the office is open. The DHL packets of late have only been 2 pounds so hopefully they aren't getting too much new mail. There was one just before New Years was 9 pounds though.

I am praying for a July 11, 2010 wedding date. I haven't paid my deposit on the church yet but I will likely do it next week.

I already paid the deposit for my April 25th wedding.. I don't think that was smart though LOL

Oh well, we can just adjust it hopefully...

I hope for your sake you get an interview. April 25 was our first date choice, but then when we started looking at how long the process takes we moved the date to June, then my matron of honor told me her baby was going to be born that day, and now our date is July 11, 2010 which I am hoping will fit in with interview process at Montreal. I am praying for expedited interviews for ALL!

July 17th is my birthday!!! Aww thanks for the birthday present! :)

Actually, my wedding date was just changed to July 18, 2010 (it was the 17th for so long that i keep forgetting!!) However, July 18 is perfect, because my fiance b'day is July 19 and mine is July 20 :) So, none of us ever have an excuse for forgetting our anniversary...lol. NOW, if only we could get an interview date...

Well, even if i don't end up with an interview before that, it won't be so bad. I'd really love it to work out that way and be there sooner rather than later lol.. but..everything can always be changed and adjusted =)

July 11th, 2010 sounds wonderful, I hope it works out and you have a beautiful wedding day!

The way my k1 process has been going with all the delays mistakes etc. we have not set an exact date. Other than to say 2 days after i use the visa lol. Just going to have a quickie wedding at his parents house, his dad will officiate, and we'll have a "proper" wedding next year on our anniversary. i'm to scared to actually plan anything and then have to cancel it all if we have any more visa issues. :(
