YAY! looks like a bunch of people on the CR1 side got booked for interviews in Feb today. In the meantime, my fiance has contacted his senator's office about our case and they are going to be looking into it for us...not too sure what that means, but i hope it means we will get an interview soon!

Just called DOS and no interview yet. The person I spoke with said that there were a large number of cases whose documents were logged at the end of november like mine. And a lot of us here I guess too. I noticed that the vermont processing center sped up recently maybe that's causing another backlog! If Montreal was having a hard time with the number of cases they were already getting and then all of a sudden being sent double.... Well i'm still going to hope we all get one soon but I'm thinking it's less likely now that I've spoken with DOS.

yeah I noticed Vermont sped up after I went through...yours took 28 days...mine took 156. Even if I was done in 28 days back then it wouldn't have mattered....I still would have waited till November for an interview. People waited from June/July till October to hear about their interview date.

I WISH our NOA2 had taken 28 days, we could have had an interview by the end of the 2009 and been married to qualify for tax credits I don't qualify for alone. That was our original plan, and I held out hope for much of November that it could still happen. But I guess one of the things we all have in common is that our plans have gone through several versions. Congrats to those of you that got an NOA2 that quickly - happy for you, just wish it wouldn't have taken 4 months for us.

No interview yet. Maybe next week. I saw they have scheduled some other types of visa interviews through the end of February, so here's holding out hope that they aren't done yet.

May 7, 2009 - 129F submitted

April 6, 2010 - Visa Delivered/POE (Peace Bridge)

April 23, 2010 - Civil Ceremony

May 1, 2010 - AOS/EAD Application submitted

July 12, 2010 - EAD Approved (Card Production Email #1 at 4:02 pm)

July 26, 2010 - EAD RECEIVED

August 5, 2010 - GREEN CARD APPROVED!!

August 21, 2010 - Green card arrives

November 13, 2010 - Catholic ceremony

July 2, 2012 - ROC submitted to VSC

August 21, 2012 - Biometrics

February 27, 2013 - ROC Approved

Only one more step to go!

I just made my daily call, hoping to hear something different, especially since all the CR1/IR1 February interview scheduled (congrats to you all!), but no. I was told that I was the fifth person that's been eligible since the end of November from MTL that called today. She said MTL is in such bad shape they've gone and asked Washington for help. Then she included, not with the visas of course, but with other things. She still told me to call everyday and good luck that we hear something soon. Who knows what to believe when it comes to MTL. They're in bad shape, they're really trying to get through the backlog (told to a number of November interviewees), they've hired staff, they've asked Washington for help... This is ridiculous! I am particularly frustrated that the fee increased at the consulate by so much...right in the middle of our petition. I'm sorry that I'm not all that optimistic today. Maybe tomorrow. Hopefully some of us K1ers will hear something soon.

The fee hasn't went up yet. Hard to say if we'll make it through before it does or not. Doesn't impress me much either considering I'm paying for 4 of them.

Good luck to everyone.

I know it's been frustrating... hopefully Novembers will get pushed out with interview dates soon.

I was kind of hoping they would open up the East Coast Consulate train the staff as well when hiring the new staff for Montreal to help handle the interviews/backlog.

But I suppose since I don't work there - I don't know exactly how it works.

Hopefully it'll all clean up soon. Best wishes.

Just to put things into perspective. I was in the exact same position at this time last year.

I sent back my P3 Nov 17 - was scheduled for my interview Feb 13 and my interview was the middle of March.

And that was without a backlog.
