Weird, eh?

Did you ever find that sneaky ####### after you lost it?

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Good luck to all those January Interviews!

Hi there...my fiance has been calling everyday and we have not been booked for anything yet :( It has been written on this site that MTL is so backlogged that there is a 5 - 7 month wait. We are hoping that is just what they are saying and not really what is happening, but there is a shortage of staff at the embassy. i'm hoping to hear something before the end of the month, but i'm not too optimistic :(

good luck to everyone who is waiting...i REALLY hope we hear something soon.

well i will take this news over the news we got any day :) when my fiance got the info of 5 - 7 months wait, he actually contacted two senators in hopes to get some help with our petition. Ultimately, it would be great if they could just give us an interview date...even if it is in a few months; it would make the wait less anxious.

Toronto Nonie's and our dates are almost exactly the same. I was frustrated when they told me in December that despite our P3 being delivered the first week of November, it was not logged until November 25.

I keep hearing the same thing from DOS - Montreal is very backlogged and they are doing their best to make it move more efficiently. I did have one phone call in December where the agent told me that there was expectation that Montreal would start to reduce the backlog after the new year. I asked if she could tell me what that meant, but she made some comment about "false hope" and reverted to the standard - there is a substantial backlog and that I should know they are doing everything they can to try to reduce the backlog as quickly as possible.

I've started calling on Mondays only, because like someone posted on an earlier page, it's too much of a disappointment to hear "no interview yet" more than once a week.

I feel for all of you that can't see your fiance often during this process. Makes me realize how fortunate we have been.

Here's hoping for good news soon! :)

May 7, 2009 - 129F submitted

April 6, 2010 - Visa Delivered/POE (Peace Bridge)

April 23, 2010 - Civil Ceremony

May 1, 2010 - AOS/EAD Application submitted

July 12, 2010 - EAD Approved (Card Production Email #1 at 4:02 pm)

July 26, 2010 - EAD RECEIVED

August 5, 2010 - GREEN CARD APPROVED!!

August 21, 2010 - Green card arrives

November 13, 2010 - Catholic ceremony

July 2, 2012 - ROC submitted to VSC

August 21, 2012 - Biometrics

February 27, 2013 - ROC Approved

Only one more step to go!

My p3 has still not been logged and they got it dec 23. When i called DOS i was told specifically that it was part of the backlog they are having. And yes i agree with you on the not calling..back at the earlier stages i was frantically checking lists, calling, emailing resarching etc. Now? sigh i dunno, but once a week is good enough for me.. i'd rather not get stressed out and make my self sick again. it causes enough strain on my relationship and i'd rather not go back to that but try and think positively on the future even if i don't quite know when that will be.

I am also one of the lucky ones now, thanks to being able to quickly packup and move. Being right on the border and 5 hours from David is a godsend. No more 3-6 months visits. If i didn't have that i'd be crazy again lol.

Hugs to all of us waiting.
