I have been calling weekly asking the dreaded "any interview yet" question :crying: Still waiting!! The waiting definitley is most difficult the closer you get to the end.

Any word on your interview ColleenS? Our packet 3 was only a couple days behind you, so we may be close together on the interview. Last Friday, DoS told me everything looked perfect but that Montreal had not assigned a date yet. This waiting/no control is the worst.

I am now officially waiting for an interview in MTL. DOS said MTL logged our P3 on 11/25. Hopefully the wait won't be too long. I hope some of the earlier couples get an interview soon...that should be a sign of good things to come!

Press 1, then 0. Don't listen to the menu, it's super long.

Make sure to have your consulate case # ready.

Oh thank goodness I haven't had to dial that number in almost a month!

Thanks. That was very helpful, even if she didn't have any information for me.

All they have is a yes or no really. If you're lucky you won't get a "fake yes" like we did.

It'll work out, it just takes a bit. Be thankful it's a K1 and not a IR1/CR1 right now. Their time lines are ridiculous.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

My biggest advice is really to expect the WORST. Just try to plan as though the interviews not there -- dont try to quit your jobs, dont send all your winter clothes to the US like I did, dont anticipitate that it will be fast. I think we did and we were so disappointed. Goodluck to all of you waiting, and really, the wait and all the annoyances in between, is really worth it because you will eventually be together. *big hugs*

Finally married... and still married... ;)

I have yet to call this week...I usually do Wed and Friday calls, but so far I haven't heard anything. They told me that they have all the paperwork they need, so it is just waiting for them to schedule.

Heck, you could do what I did... Tell everyone you probably won't be lucky enough to leave until March, and then find yourself eating your words after that fateful phone call. :)

Like darkchilde said, expect the worst. It works out better on your emotions, and it's always better to be pleasantly surprised.

I'm hoping we won't need to change our April 9th wedding date. I'm also hoping we'll hear soon enough so we can finalize plans and send out invitations. I know, I know...greedy me

lol. not so greedy, just hopeful :D The only reason I am super cautious now is I sent my P3 back in July (cuz they had to send a new one so I ended up being 3 weeks behind where I should have lol). We were suppose to get married Oct 16, which would have been about 3-4 months ish, but I just had my interview 2 weeks ago which put me at almost the 5 month mark from returning my P3. They have sped up a bit now and I really hope they continue to do so, but from now on with this process I'm just going to assume its going to take forever
