Every ten unless we naturalize, yes? Haha.

Yeah, you certainly don't need the whole packet. Just make sure you have access to a printer when filling out all of the forms, and make extra copies.

I'm naturalizing ASAP and so are the kids. No way am I going to go through this forever and ever....I NEED a light at the end of the tunnel!! Dual citizenship and be done with it forever. I can't wait! lol

That reminds me....a gf of mine who moved to the US with her mother who married an American just told me she JUST got her citizenship a few weeks ago. She's been here since she was around 14....maybe longer. Over 20 years anyways...I found it odd that she waited so long.

I've come across that too... A lot of folks just wait. Perhaps life picks up... who knows.

But I'll definitely be doing it asap. ANYTHING to be done with USCIS, haha.

I had a BF who had a PR card. I ws dating him when it expired! I helped him go online, fill out a form, pay the fee, and then in about 6 months he got the new card. Now he was a PR because his mom moved here when he was 5, so I am not sure if it is the same regardless of what kind of a Visa you came here on . . .

Yeah I figure a good scan will probably be fine as well. I just exerted a little more effort and found a copy of the page that tells you what forms etc to fill out. I was just going to have her overnight me the whole package but it seems a tad pointless if all I need is the checklist. Guess I'll get to work on all these forms....ugh....I'm so sick of all the paperwork. How many more years of this do we have left? lol

I am waiting for my P3 as well....I called on Wed and was told it had been sent out. I just did a search on the forums here to find out what paperwork they asked for, and I went ahead and filled it all out. I have my long BC, my Police Check, and have booked my medical alrealdy. So once I get it I can just put it right back in the mail again. Filling out all the forms is a PITA tho.....you answer the same questions over and over again. And put in the same info over and over again!! I am hoping the get the P3 in the mail today since I am heading down to see my SO for the weekend and won't be back till Wed. I want to get the info in and hopefully get in on this wave of interviews and have a slight hope of being there for Christmas!!!

I've called every day this week, and still no interview scheduled. :( It's so frustrating because there are people on here with pretty much the exact same timeline as me (and even later) who have interviews, but not me. I'm afraid they won't schedule any for a long time again and I'll be stuck in limbo for months! A November interview would've been perfect. :(

Is there anyone else with a similar timeline who HASN'T gotten an interview?

It's just a form and a fee ($355, or around that I think) every ten years. It's not really that big of a hassle, but that fee could get higher at any time, so that's something to think about.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

Edited by Varba

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."
