That works. Or go to SallyAnn/Goodwill. I've gotten some nice coats at thrift stores for about $20.

You know what, I always thought SallyAnn was something my co workers made up, I never knew it was known like that!

Where have I been.

Yeah, learned that Salvation Army was also called Sally Ann, which I guess is less inoccuous and easier to say?

Duno : )

We have value village here and I got this hip long leather fall coat for $20 bucks. I get a lot of compliments on it, and I HAVE to tell em how much I paid for it. :star:

I share your pain my friend...

Although I sent mine 2 weeks after you, it's still horrid to not have a clue when our interview will be. Maybe if we vent every so often, it won't be as bad.

I warn everyone though...

...I have the emotional state of a pregnant lady lately (well, as compared to my pregnant, over-emotional friend ) ...I swear I can cry over the smallest things!

I would love to get a date before Christmas...I won't travel until after the holidays anyway, but it would be lovely to have that as a Christmas present :) Both of our birthdays are in January too. It would be nice to be together...Ahhh well

reaaallly trying not to get my hopes up. It makes me that much more anxious

So I'm waiting on my packet 3. I know this has been gone over 8 billion times but what exactly comes in this thing? I've seen the check list that is included (thx Sam) but what else is in it? What all gets sent back besides the checklist? Apparently there is some form that you submit online....someone help me out here lol. Right now I am in Florida so my packet 3 is going to be sent to my home in Canada and my sister is going to forward it to me so I can fill it out and send it back. If the only thing in it that has to be sent back to them is the check list I can get her to email me a copy or something that I can print off and sign and send back. Would that work? Help anyone?

My P3 didn't come with any forms, simply where to access/download them online.

P3 included a cover letter stating the abovementioned forms (with links), and that I would have to send them back to the Consulate before they could process my case further. It included my case number as well.

Then was the checklist.

Then were a couple of sheets expanding on what each item on the checklist was/how to get it, etc.

Finally were two pages that went over the medical examination: what would occur, how to book an appointment, vaccinations and where to find the age appropriate list, etc.

I believe it was six pages in all.

Honestly, so long as it's a good scan of the checklist... I don't see how they'd know. My checklist was sent on slightly yellowed paper, so it didn't even look cohesive with the rest of the papers (which were clean white). I really don't see how they'd be able to tell one way or another. I'd have her scan your cover page too, though, just so you can take a perusal at the case number, etc.

Yeah I figure a good scan will probably be fine as well. I just exerted a little more effort and found a copy of the page that tells you what forms etc to fill out. I was just going to have her overnight me the whole package but it seems a tad pointless if all I need is the checklist. Guess I'll get to work on all these forms....ugh....I'm so sick of all the paperwork. How many more years of this do we have left? lol

Just look at the next step... if you look at all the steps you'll go insane and we'll have to send the nice men with the comfy coat....

Like we did for Lgg.

She does enjoy the padded room though.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."
