WOW...looks like I did start a trend!! Congrats to all!!

I take back the mean things I thought about you. :whistle:

Was just very disheartening to wait so long and be told that we weren't going to get one till January.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

So I thought I read somewhere that Montreal did their own scheduling, is this true?

Cause I'm thinking maybe DoS took over.

From my numerous conversations with the DoS....

The DoS does nothing, and actually can't even do anything.... but. They have a program that lets them look at the cases in Montreal and get some sort of status/info back.

So, no the DoS didn't do it, Montreal did.

Oh well, it just means they're making all the people who waited too long have happy days.

I have a small question about the medical.

Do we need to bring any forms with us? I'm just looking ahead at AOS, unless the transcribing and stuff happens in that part?

I knew emailing them was useless. I just have to do something. I refuse to sit here and think about the fact that, based on everyone else's timeline, I won't be seeing an interview until... March? April? May?

:angry:

Hey guys...just wanted to pop in and wish you all dates soon...the waiting part is the suckiest... but I do want to say that Huggles is right....sometimes they fast forward and play catch up and schedule a mass amount of interviews....back when we were waiting...there were a bunch of people before us that were waiting for 4 months (back from Dec 2008) and the all of a sudden they scheduled us all! Some people who had waited 4 months, got interviews the same time as us who had only waited 3 weeks.....so if you think just because people who filed months before you are not schedeuled yet, so this may mean you are months behind....may not be true....you could be days behind them!

Good luck to all :)

In addition to that, Poprocks' paperwork was in a week or so before ours was, but our interview was the day before hers. You can seriously never tell what the plan is, or the logic behind the scheduling... kind of like trying to figure out the algorithm to how search engines place/rank websites! It just happens. ;)

I just called and we have an appointment date too- November 20th at 8:00am.

I called me fiance and you would think he'd be excited but he wants me to post-pone the interview because we changed our wedding date to April 29th, and so obviously he can't activate his VISA until February 1st. He says he doesn't want to go that long without seeing me so he'd rather put off the interview.

I am crying right now . . .

I'm shaking ... ::.

This is 2.5 weeks away there is a LOT to do. Wow. Breathless.

These forums are gonna be hopping the next few weeks :dance:

Remember me mentioning you will only have a couple of weeks to plan???!!! Well, now you're off & running!!! Best of luck to you ALLLL!!! :dance:

Best advice?? Go back through this forum and look at previous posts. I know that poprocks, Huggles, and I ALL posted our lists of what we brought, how many copies, etc.

Also, another piece of advice, go to Hotwire or Priceline (try betterbidding.com) for your hotel. You can get a NICE hotel for about $50 or $60 (US). We were at the Hyatt for $64. Five minutes walking distance to the Embassy. It was great!

Ask as many questions as you need... we've all been there! Have fun!!! :thumbs:

If you do that, you could actually lose about 3 or 4 months for your interview. You very well could go back to the bottom. In fact, I believe that in order to change your date you need a "valid" reason, not just "I don't like the date."

As for seeing him, the USC can still go to Canada. . . . . . . :unsure:

Wow, you and I's paperwork isn't off by much.

I should get my fiance to call later.... even though I've only been waiting 2 weeks.
