K-1 people waiting for interviews at Montreal

I think you probably just got an incompetent agent last time. Doesn't say anything good for them, of course.

Anyone know what packet 3 receive dates they're actually scheduling for now, and what dates they're getting? Has anyone gotten theirs recently?

(No interview date on my check today, though the agent was at least nice about it. They're open and back to the wait time game.)

Danu was last.

It's possible that the person thought whatever it said on the computer about being in queue to be scheduled for an interview made them think that they had been scheduled, but it just seems far out there.

I like when the person says their name. I always write it down.

The longer it takes the more I imagine large numbers of people in between Peachey and I, and that makes me less hopeful it'll even happen in 2009.

Like, can we get interviews in the next two weeks? Maybe?

On the phone with them right now, must remember not to beat the person who answers over the head with my phone.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

202-663-1225 press 1 then 0. There's no "Average" hold time, it does tell you after you push 0 tho.

That number is only to find out if you have an interview yet tho. You haven't gotten your packet 3, so it might be a month until you start calling.

Hey all,

Just called DoS and they my packet 3 logged on October 9. I asked the lady approximately when I'd get an interview and she said it's looking like 5 months, which will put me through about March.

There has to be something else going on - I don't think it's just a matter of an inexperienced agent or someone lying.

Americana2009 (CR1/IR1 visa applicant) - called DOS October 2nd and was told their interview is on November 18th. Peachy/Varba call on Friday October 7th and are told they are scheduled but that a date hasn't been set yet (I have never heard of this btw - where someone is apparently scheduled but has no date set - has anyone else?).

Then they both call back only to find that neither has an interview date scheduled.

I wonder if the information Peachy got from DOS, that they were meeting about the Montreal Consulate (at DOS) on October 7th, has anything to do with this.

Dum-dum-duuuuuuuuumm....

So then... what can it possibly mean?

They've decided to stop interviewing totally? Revoke all given interviews? Lengthen wait times.

I do realize that no one can answer these questions and they hypothesizing is pointless but... sometimes it makes me feel better...

:)

or rather...

Not sure if i should be excited about this but, I called DOS today and my case was received late last month and Ginette is "eligible for and interview". Does this seem faster than what I have been reading on here and just exactly what does this mean. No date has been set yet.

Hi,

No it doesn't seem unusual at all - being eligible for an interview and getting one are two different things, it's still a good thing though!
