For all those calling the DoS today, they appear to be closed - although the phone message does NOT say so.

Don't waste as much long distance as I did! :)

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Aside from being Thanksgiving Day in Canada, it's Columbus Day in the U.S.

So it's not surprising it's closed.

Aside from being Thanksgiving Day in Canada, it's Columbus Day in the U.S.

So it's not surprising it's closed.

Columbus day is one of those fake holidays... only banks and well.. i guess apparently federal goverment jobs get it off.

I'm glad I have Vonage as well, but here at work I do not.

Yep, either they're closed today or they've changed their IVR to not allow people to hold for a representative (which would be annoying as hell).

Seems like the Department of Slow has changed some policies. Instead of staying on hold for the next available attendant, you are told to hang up and try again later if they are all busy...

Oh man... peachey and varba... that is horrible. #######, bigtime? It's bad enough that they're incompetent but to start lying to people about dates too?

You know what? I don't give a ###### anymore about people defending them and oh they're working hard -- I call B.S. on all that. When they start lying to people because they have their heads so far up their butts, that's quite enough with the sympathy card, I say.

Embassy/Interview - January 26, 2010 Montreal, Quebec Canada - 167 days PASSED!!!

Port of Entry - February 26, 2010 Baltimore International, Maryland

USCIS -- ROC package sent off

November 26, 2011 to Vermont station November 30, 2011 received NOA1December 16, 2011 received biometrics appointment.

January 04, 2012 Biometrics

September 2, 2012, RFE Received.

September 22, 2012 RFE responded to

October 15, 2012 ROC approved, 10 Green card on its way.
