K-1 people waiting for interviews at Montreal

Evidence of Domicile is for the petitioner I'm assuming.

what does this mean? that i, as the petitioner, am not living in a box someplace but have a legit address?

Evidence of Domicile is for the petitioner I'm assuming.

I think it only applies to people doing DCF's and IR/CR1's...for us evidence of the petitioner living in the states is already on all the forms we supplied, plus on their paystubs and such. I think they just put everything onto one generic letter and tell people to pick and choose, but from what I've seen of people's lists for bringing to the consulate, no K1's were ever asked to prove domicile.

Sam and Ben, I wouldn't worry about it as the information on the g325 already proves he lives in the states, I really don't think the whole list applies to everyone (which is why at the top it says as applicable) and they would have told us if we needed to get anything like that on the checklist they sent. I really haven't seen any K1's get asked about it so I don't think its about us, and if he has paystubs or anything you are providing as proof (letters etc) will show he does live in the states.

PEACHEY!!! YAY!

One lady wouldn't give me the date my P3 was logged, just that it was "July" which I thought was very strange.

I just called, I thought they'd left me in hold purgatory because it went past 5pm.. anyway I got through, and still no interview. I think I'm "next" in line.

My voodoo magic is currently set for Montreal to email me on Monday to tell me my date.

Geez I hope they didn't just make a policy that they aren't divulging interview dates on the phone or by email. That would suck.

Montreal will be closed on Monday, for Thanksgiving! Lucky buggers get Can and US holidays

Oh was it? Mine didnt say anything about proving domicile, but his paystubs, the letters I've gotten from him etc show that he is in the states at that address, so that should be hopefully enough I think I read in another thread that the evidence of domicile was basically like..mail and stuff with the name and address matching whats on the documents where as the proof of domicile for the DCF and CR/IR1's is more like proving you have a place to stay and are planning to take up residence.

According to my tracking #, my package got to the PO box 5 days ago.

I paid for a signature and the person said "Yes, you can get signatures from PO boxes."

Why havn't I gotten one yet?

Are they really that slow at picking up their mail?

I'm thinking I'll just bring some mail, etc of his for extra proof... plus his latest tax transcript was filed from his current address. Whether necessary or not, always good to be prepared. Should be fine with all of that, I think.

Actually, yeah, that should be some decent proof. And as he's coming up to the interview (hopefully, depending on what kind of notice they give us), he'll have it on hand.

The only reason I can assume they wouldn't give us the date is because they were scheduling it right before Varba called.
