I think the movie "The Proposal" is probably not a good movie for frustrated people waiting for interviews...lol!

Making us wish real life was like hollywood....

You're probably right... I've never seen it. A well meaning professional suggested I watch it. I actually didn't watch it.

by the time I get have my interview it will be just shy of 6 months from NOA2 (about 2 weeks shy) and it will be just shy of 5 months since I mailed my P3 back to montreal. Disgusting. BTW if you fill in your timeline it makes it much easier for people to help with estimates and advice, you can do so in the immigration timeline portion of the website.

What she was probably explaining is that Montreal is apparently really short staffed. Peachy wrote another thread about it, that a lot of people quit over the summer, so right now the wait time is about 4-5 months from when you sent yout P3 back to them. Apparently DOS had a meeting with them, whether that will fix anything to get this process sped up again...I'm not sure.

Bogartnoir... you were being funny, right? You're always so nice I didn't think you were making fun of 'delicate FRench ears'....

:)

I also wanted to ask you guys, as a CR1 person, how long was it supposed to take for a K1? I ahd heard that they were processed really, really fast. But just reading Peachy and Varba's timeline -- it looks like it'll be about 8-10 month processing time. If you had known it was going to be this long -- would you guys have done it differently?

I'm just curious and trying to wile away the Friday afternoon before a long weekend afternoon at work...

I wouldn't have done it any differently. Mainly because I have to stay at work until my contract is up in January. We gave this process 11 months to complete, and it looks like it's going to be almost on time.

sarcasm and lots of eyerolls.

i really don't appreciate it when someone insults my mother-tongue, frankly, whilst calling their french ears "delicate". rather snotty.

Congrats!! But... that is sooo strange. Did you try e-mailing the consulate? Maybe they'll tell you.

To answer Lgg, when I was going through the K-1 process they were taking 6-9 months... I had mine, from filling to interview in just under 7 months. Things are a little ridiculous now! I feel for you guys (F)
