Well, the thing is about the lease is that I'm "Subletting" but it's not exactly allowed according to my boss's contract.

She was the one living here, I lived in the 2nd room for a few months then she moved out.

So... yeah.

No trouble so far, I guess the whole "No subletting allowed thing" isn't really that predominant in their minds.

Well the positive side of moving back in with the 'rents is how much money you'll save... I gave my notice for July 1 of last year, moved in with my Mom for a bit over 4 months, then moved here with quite a nice stash saved away!! If I had still be paying $1050 a month in rent, plus all my bills, I would have moved with little to no savings!

My rent is 650 a month and that includes all utilities. Well, except internet/phone/cable but it's still not bad.

True that I can save money though moving back in... in the coldest month of the year

They'd just throw me in the basement to freeze my butt off like I did last year.

The problem with moving back in with the parents (and if you t hink trying ot move back in after 7 months, trying moving back after being on your own for 10 years hon.. lol), is that it's not a viable solution for all of us. For instance, my parents are an hour and a 1/2 drive away, in a small town with NO opportunities for someone like me. I'd have to quit my job, and what money savings would there be in that? lol I'd also potentially lose my E.I. eligibility, if I'm without work for too long before moving.. Anyways, I think I mentioned this before, but yeah, that just makes me that much more anxious about the procrastination of Montreal.

Yeah don't forget about the weekend! So it should be at your place soon :)

That's true..since it was mailed out on Friday afternoon, it probably didn't get picked up by the mail man until Monday morning.

I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow!

Sometimes I wish Canada Post is like USPS and delivers mail on Saturdays...

Tina

You'd think it would be to TO quick, but mine took almost 2 weeks. Who knows!

Oh well, I can always hope! I'll check the mail during lunchtime today. If it's there, then I'll send it today.

I NEED SOME HELP PLZZZZ

Two weeks ago i received the envelop from the us consulate in montreal, and they are saying : please complete and return to this office :

1-DS-230 PART 1

2-DS-160

3-DS-156

4-DS156K

AND THE CONFIRMING RECEIPT REGARDING FORM DS-160

AND CHECKLIST (ENCLOSED) INDICATING YOU HAVE OBTAINED THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

SO MY QUESTIONS ARE:

DO I HAVE TO SEND THEM ALL ONE SHUT, EVEN AFTER MY MEDICAL EXAM?

DO I HAVE TO SEND THE ds-230 FIRST AND AFTER THE REST?

SO PLZ IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME, I AM AFRAID TO BE LATE IF I WAIT TILL I FINISH EVERYTHING AND THEN SEND THEM

Hi,

I've been told to send everything required. I've made another copy of my complete application to bring to the interview, too (just in case).

As for the DS 160 application, I e-mailed Montreal consulate about not having my application, and they said that as long as you have the DS 160 confirmation, it should be ok.

Actually since the packet 3 letter says they need the DS 160 form, I'm going to include the e-mail from Operator 5 in its place. Gotta cover all bases!

Try patient! It's good exercise for the waiting time between sending your packet back and getting and interview.

If it doesn't come in a couple weeks then I would be worried.

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

Agreed... it's only been a couple of days. Give it until next week AT LEAST before you get worried. At this point a day or two isn't going to make a difference

My mom brought me my packet 3 today.

I'm kinda blown away by the vaccine list.

I dont even know what half of them are!

Do we really need all of those or just what's listed on the doctor's site?

I'll be sending mine back on Friday. Maybe tomorrow. Depends if I want to walk 20 minutes each way to the closest post office outlet

It depends on what your age is and when you last had some of those vaccinations. And if you're pregnant.

I made an appointment with my family doctor and he helped me wade through it.

Try to get hold of your vaccination records. My doctor ended up giving me two different shots. I didn't need everything on the list.

Note the HPV is necessary if you're (I think) 26 or under.

I have all the shots listed on the Toronto Doctor's website except the booster and the 1st Gardasil shot.

Planning on getting those done soon at the local health board. Cant be bothered to try and get in and see my doctor.
