ZOMG montreal actually replied! I sent an email seven days ago.

They say:

Not yet, you are currently on a waiting list.

Thank you.

OP6

Perhaps it's evidence of my stress level that I am so relieved to know I AM ON A WAITING LIST.

Well there ya go. My P3 Checklist got back to MTL 7/28.

In the future just call this # 202-663-1225 (Dept. of State) so you don't have to wait 7 days. They will give you updates on your case.

No, I do call the DoS. But I also emailed. I was floored that I actually got a response, so I shared it. But also if you think about it, if MTL is scheduling interviews, and they're so fraking slow, what's to say that DoS will know before MTL (depending on how quickly an email comes)... Therefore, I figure it was not useless to email them. Having a live body in MTL confirm something is different from calling the DoS, not objectively but psychologically.

My primary mode of getting updates HAS been the DoS.

Great to hear. I also heard back from the Consulate. I asked would it be a problem if I only printed out DS 160 confirmation and the response was:

No, that is fine.

So, I guess I have everything ready to go, including a cover page!

How do you guys think it works. Do you think it's first come first serve based on the order the receive your P3 or do you think it's based on your MTL case #? I also think they must book must interview dates at the start of each month? What do u think?

MTL case number presumably would be in some sort of order by when consulate received case. However people take varying amounts of time to submit their P3, and they'd have to then look at original approval date and prioritize older approval dates, but even that isn't how they seem to operate based on our small selection of interview assignments. So no. I'm trying to not analyse it.. not working : P

I've been avoiding looking at any interview related stuff for any other consulate because I'm seeing how quickly some people are getting through.

the same sex thread has officially depressed me. :(

I got my P3 today :P

Will be sending it back tomorrow, I'm hoping.

That or Wednesday.

My mom was like "You got something from the consulate, it says something about an interview"

Me: "Yeah right, I have to wait 3 months for that"

This thread is making me depressed...kinda kidding :P

Just all of us waiting(some a lot longer that others) is sad. I'm praying for something in December(what a Christmas gift THAT would be!). But I'll take January. Anything after Jan is just stupid.

8/2/2021:  Mailed N-400

8/4/2021: N-400 received

8/6/2021:  Biometrics to be reused
3/15/2022:  Interview (successful)
