You can...but you still need the paper from them to show at the medical. Also one thing to keep in mind is the closer you have it to the interview, the longer it will be valid for your AOS. Some people had their validity come close so the got RFE'd for a new medical.

I called DOS today... got my interview date!!!! October 28 .. wooohoo =)

06.25.10 - biometrics appt

07.02.10 - emailed that our case is moved to CSC!

07.14.10 - touched

07.21.10 - touched

08.03.10 - approved for EAD

08.05.10 - uscis mailed out EAD

08.09.10 - EAD received!

01.05.11 - a ###### RFE over 6 ###### months after the fact

02.01.11 - touched

02.14.11 - APPROVED (finally)!

02.25.11 - received green card in the mail

DONE WITH USCIS FOR 2 YEARS!

Sorry guys i don't really know how to update my timeline... we sent our package 3 on June 10... So we practically waited for 3 months to get our date =)

you're on K1?

3 months, plus a month beyond that... fricken hell man... sorry, but that's ridiculous. lol Factor in Christmas break, and I'll be lucky to have one by February!! blah!!!!!!!

Trust me.. it's been a horrible wait... but we couldn't really do much about it other den calling DOS A LOT and emailing Montreal.. haha... Hope y'all get your interview dates veryy soon!! And yes we applied for a K1 visa in January...

Yeah, I'm really frustrated... I really REALLY want to get my visa by January, and move, and have a wedding in January, not February. I know it's stupid, but there's a million reasons for it in my head... I feel like I'm going to be SO CLOSE, that it just might not happen, and it might be like, just BARELY... it's driving me insane.. this is 100000 x worse than waiting for NOA2.... :(

And I really need to stop whining about that, because I just did it in 2 threads in a row.. :lol: Srsly though.. :crying:

Don't worry too much.. the second i stopped thinking about it so much we got a date... again, you never know.. they might juss schedule you for November.. Domegirl sent her package end of July and she got a september interview!!! so keep that in mind ;)

The number for DOS is 202-663-1225. Dial that number then enter 1 and then 0 to speak to a live person. Everyone at DOS has been very friendly and helpful even if i was a pain in the butt callign twice a week for 5 weeks. :)
