Hmmm...maybe he doesn't even need part 2? He was instructed to send in Part 1 with packet 3, but we were just wondering what happens to part 2. LOL

If the K-3 is non-immigrant as well than he would do the 156k instead of part 2.

Ashen - the reason they have us do both is they are trying to get rid of the DS230 and just use the DS160..we are guinea pigs lol.

OK, he filled out the DS 160 online for Montreal and I think that takes the place of the old 156k.

Eventually...but I think he still needs to bring a copy with him for now.

Ashen - I know, but theres a few others waiting with me too from the same timeframe, I think there may even be some June people still waiting. Hoping when I call on Friday that they have good news for me.

It's stupid that we have to call so much to get interviews.

Well, I'll probably only call like once a week when I get to that point.

I dont have a landline and using my cell is expensive.

Do they even respond to emails anymore?

 they responded to mine to tell me that I am on the list and my interview will probably not be in September...like I couldn't have figured that one out. Calling doesn't really help get one but as they already lost my P3 trying to get to me I want to know when I'm waiting for P4 just incase. So far I've refrained for almost 2.5 weeks from calling...lol. I think its a new form of torture.

Oh! Forgot to add, they didn't respond to my first email (sent the 14th of last month) and the second one I sent like the 27th and they didnt get back to me till the 31st.

Nice to know they actually respond to emails.

I HATE dealing with people on the phone.

nope, we don't get the option to schedule our own appointments, they do it for us :( That system as far as I know is only non-immigrant visas (and though ours is non-immigrant its non-immigrant with the understanding you will be adjusting your status, and therefore not in the same class as student visa's etc which go through Ottawa)

whats the number lol..to call them?

You contact DOS (department of state) at (202) 663-1225. All they can tell you is if Montreal has recieved your package and logged it and if you have an interview though...they can't make the interviews, and they don't seem to have a good grasp on when they get done. I got told they do them the first week of the month, others have heard 2nd week, others still the last week of the month. No real rhyme or reason it seems.

Called DOS just onw. GOT MY INTERVIEW DATE. I'm going on Sept. 28th, 2009 at 8AM in Montreal. They told me my packet 4 was sent out yesterday so I should get it next week. Only leaves me with about 2 weeks to make sure I have everything after that. I'll make a new post once I get the packet 4 just to make sure with all of you guys that I have everything I need.

So call DOS everybody. Maybe you have a date too. I hope so. Good luck to all!
