i called dr. seiden's office to book an appointment for medical exam. the woman asked me if i already have an interview appointment. i told her i just had the checklist. she still gave me a schedule for the medical exam on feb 23 (my choice). do i need to get an interview appointment before taking the medical exam?

Not at all, many people go for the medical first well before receiving their appt letter. Just be sure to bring your MTL case number to the medical (that piece of paper they send you).

From me they took my nail clipper which was attached to my keyring (which i got back, only without the little chain thing it came with so now i can't attach it BACK. grr.. Where do you get those chainy things anyways?

And they took my USB key, which i also got back. Gave me a little ticket to present to reception on my way out.

And also, I see some posts by Jenni elsewhere that says that you put the MTL number and not the reciept number from the NOA on the form...is that what you finally did? Apparently it worked cause you have your visa =)

I was so hoping to be done with forms for a while.....this is so aggravating =(

Hey everyone

SK&SP,

So I put 75 years for how long I planned to be in the US LOL! I think SapphireDreams did the same.

And yes, I finally did put my MTL case number, and they didnt have an issue with my paperwork!

Lemme know if you have anymore questions!

Francie: Hopefully it won't be the full 3-4 months, but that does seem to be the average. It took me about 4 months from the time I sent my P3 back. It's a crappy wait, but you can call NVC after a month or so to see if your date has been scheduled...I think the number and instuctions are a couple pages back in here...but I canpost this from an email I sent Bo :)

So, people said to call the number below, PRESS 1, then 0 to get to a live person. Tell them you are wondering about the status of our case, and if there is any word on an interview date yet. The hours are between 8:30 -4:30 EST (I think). It will tell you on the opening menu anyway!

Dept of State Phone number: 202-663-1225

Hope this helps guys!!

Jen
