My packet 3 was received in July and I know there are people who sent their packet 3 in June and still haven't received word back from the Consulate. From what the Dept. of State told me they are going to be scheduling us for sometime in November.

I don't get it because I haven't seen anyone on here say they have an interview scheduled for Sept. or Oct. so it looks like IT IS taking 4 months to get an interview. What an annoyance.

Maybe it takes longer at this time of year because of Student Visas?

Just a guess.

We sent our packet 3 back to Montreal June 10th and we have an interview for September 10th. Didn't get notified by mail until August. We were calling DOS every week so we would know as soon as it was scheduled and not have to depend on mail notification, which takes about a week or two longer.

Ya maybe Peachey. But honestly, what the heck! No interviews for K-1 at all in 2 months? That seems so ridiculous. School starts for University here next week so hopefully we'll get some news soon. If it is because of school visas that should all be taken care of in the next 2 weeks. UGH!

So frustrating. I just want to get a date already. I'd feel better if I at least knew the date and was waiting for it.

I totally understand.

My fiance is very sad at the "Nebulous void" on his calendar where we might not see each other :(

Hey, domegirl! Sometimes, they go through one pile and no one hears anything... then all of a sudden... BAMMM!!!! That's what happed to a LOAD of us who had interviews in April. We all sent in our P3s at the end of February and beginning of March. Then, we all (literally, there were about 9 or 10 of us) who got interviews within a week of each other! Ours was April 16, and someone whose paperwork was in before ours, had an interview for April 17. So, trying to put logic where there is none will drive ya nuts!

Also, a wise piece of information that was shared with me while I was waiting, was that VJers only account for less than 10% of all Visa applications. So, although it seems as if nothing may be happening, things are happening but for other people somewhere else.

Kepp your chin up & keep smiling! Your P4 WILL come!

I hope you are right July09Bride. I hope we all get our interviews for Oct. Its just quite annoying seeing that no one has a K-1 interview for Sept. Odd as hell.

There are actually 3 VJ members, where the beneficiary is in Canada, that have interviews scheduled for September for K1:

Tracie & Michael

2009-09-01 - K1 Visa

Justin & Jen

2009-09-08 - K1 Visa

Trevor & Amanda

2009-09-14 - K1 Visa

I know that's not really really helpful but at least you know that they haven't ignored September interviews altogether!

On the other hand, there are zero CR1/IR1 interviews for Canadians in September.
