this was a great review, i was kinda worried because i hadn't heard anything nice about this office yet, and was wanting to go to london until they got taken off the list, so, you do have to have your interview letter with you then, but, how long does it take to get an appointment? do you have to book a month in advance or what?

I found about about my interview date from the NVC on Oct16 and called to schedule my medical the next day. They could have gotten me in sooner, but I specifically requested the Nov3 date so I could get another paycheck and do some shopping while I was there. I don't know if it would take longer to get in now that the panel physician list has been cut. But yes, you do need the interview letter - 2nd page to be exact. If you don't have yours in the mail , the USC spouse can express mail/fax/scan and email you their copy, since they get it much sooner. It doesn't have to be the original. I brought a photocopy even thought I had mine, just in case anything happened to it. :)

oh im sorry i am doing the K-1 so my fiance wont get the interview letter, im just waiting to hear from montreal, i sent in my packet 3 last mon, so just hoping i get it soon and find out when my interview will be so i can book my medical

I would suspect that now that the medicals have been restricted as to where you can get them, that after yesterday they might be booking differently than before that Nov 1st date.

This isn't to you specifically CherylandRichard, but anyone else reading this thread. Might take a lot longer to get an apointment once they all go through just the few left that are doing medicals in Canada.

I would suggest you call the office of the MD you will be using (I know that Seiden in Toronto has a toll free number - )Toll-Free Outside Toronto 866-362-5603 ); confirm with them what ID you need to bring - interview letter or alternate if you are running out of time. Ask them how long it takes to book. That should put your mind at rest. Good luck

Thank you for that very indepth review :) It was very informative and answered alot of my questions about what to expect.

I just booked my medical exam at Dr. Seiden in Toronto this morning. I just got word that my interview is on December 18 and they booked my medical for Nov 24, so I guess they are booking ~3 weeks from when you call.

Nice review. I have a class B designation as well and was worried that it might cause it problem. It didn't.:-)

Kathryn I just have one question if you don't mind my asking. At your interview, did the consular officer bring up/want to discuss your condition? I just want to be as prepared as possible. :)
