:help::crying:

My fiance sent off our I-129F application at the beginning of October. On the 16th of October he checked his bank account and the cheque he sent for the fee had gone through, so, they must have received our application and they've taken the money yet we've heard nothing, no notification, nothing.

So now we're really worried. My fiance thinks they may not have his correct mailing address. We've no alien registration number yet, what should we do, should we try and call them? Can anyone advise? Please help :unsure:

Have him look on the back of the cancelled check.. The case number is indicated there...

Why would he think they do not have the correct address?

YMMV

NOA1 can take up to four weeks for you to get the notice. I guess the easiest route would be to get ahold of the cancelled check and all the details are reflected there. You should see something that starts with WAC - since you are filedt CSC. Open an online account right away when you get the receipt number for your petition.

Good luck and feel free to update us if there's any problem. Good luck and take care!

No, the cheque wasn't cancelled or returned, they've processed the cheque and have the money but we haven't heard a thing from UCSIS, we don't have a case number. I thought they were supposed to send us notification that they have received our application.

Cancelled check is the US term used for encashed cheque nienna. Sorry for the jargon. We should have been clear.

Let me say again... Look on the back of the PAID check that was processed by the bank... On the third line of the endoresement is your case number.

Yes, they should send a notice but sometimes they are backlogged in receipting

YMMV

Thank-you! That's what i wanted to know, roughly how long it takes to get the notice. The cheque wasn't cancelled, it has gone through, I'm hoping that's a good sign, I would have thought that if there is a problem with our application then they would send it all back including the cheque.

This is something I notice with CSC. They're bad when it comes to sending the NOA1. But the NOA2 always comes up in the mail I guess that shouldn't be a problem. The NOA2 is more important as that is what you will use when adjusting status.

Good luck nienna.

Aww... You are most welcome! Welcome to the waiting club by the way. You can always come over and vent and freak out every once in a while. This forum has been very helpful for me and it's such a relief that I am not alone.

I would suggest that as early as now, you start thinking of things to get keep you busy as the whole wait could really wear you out and drive you nuts.

The wedding preparation always helps. Much love!
