Hi All,

So, we just received an RFE for tax returns I didn't include in our AOS package. We have most of the info to hadn so not really a big deal.

However, I just now realized that the form I-864A is supposed to be witnessed by a Public Notary. Would I be better to get this done now and resend the entire I-864A AND the stuff we got the RFE for just to stop another RFE further down the line?

I-864A does not have a place for a notarial signature/stamp

i know, that's the confusing thing. but when i went to read the instructions for the I-864A on the USCIS webpage it states ...

The signatures on the I-864A must be notarized by a notary public or signed before an immigration or consular officer.

Maybe our form was an older version and this is a recent amendment?
