Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help me. I keep looking at my VJ time lines and im very confused. For my

I-129F It says that it will be adjudicated between 28 March 2009 and April. then the next day it say between feb and march. it keeps changing so dont know the proper timeline.

Also the timeline for my I-130 keeps saying it will be adjudicated in Jan or Feb. Which is quite far before my I-129F. I was wondering... if my I-130 is approved before my i-129f can i leave the country immediately? do i still need a k3 visa? will i still have to wait for my i-129f to also be approved.

im very confused so any help would be great.

Good luck to all in your journey. Hope it speeds up

An approved petition is not a visa. Time to learn the steps in the process. In all likelyhood, both your petitions will be approved the same day. That's the current procedure, provided they were filed correctly and in a timely manner relative to one another. Looks like the filings were timely enough.

Our I-129F and I-130 were approved both at the same time but in some cases,I-129F usually comes first and I131 later, you could have been here in the US by the time it'll be approved. But yes, petition is not a visa.Medical and interview will follow,so you'll have likely 2-3 months more to go after approval pf petition.Goodluck

Morning!

I checked our timelines too & based on VJ estimates our I-130 is indicated as being adjudicated before our I-129F as well.

I -130 adjudicated Feb 27, 2009 - March 11, 2009

I -129F adjudicated March 22,2009 - April 6, 2009

Naturally these dates are only estimates and their usefulness is questionable but at any rate, the dates change often based on cases received, etc ... Additionally, the I-130 approval is not indicative of an automatic Visa - that comes from the embassy you will go through for the interview process. Not to add more confusion for you but have you explored the CR1 option?

There are guides you can read here on the VJ site that are helpful ...Good Luck (F)
