Hello Everybody,

Before, my fiance was sent me a money through western union but he decided to open an account for me because western union is so expensive than to the ATM. I kept the receipt when I claimed the money in the western union but I didn't keep the atm receipt when I withdraw some money to the ATM. Do I need to keep the atm receipt or just throw it away?

God bless and more power.... :star: :star: :star:

we did the same too with my fiance (my husband now). he opened an account here in the US and send the card to the Phils. for me.

Keep the receipt of the western union and your fiance can ask a bank statement that shows how much money he send you to the Phils. and it will show the location of the bank which you withdraw the money in Phils. In short it will show that, the account/ATM was opened in the US, the money was deposited in the US and the money was withdrawed in the Philippines.

You need to gather whatever documents you can get your hands on. So YES keep the receipts from western union. As for the ATM receipts, its fine if you didnt keep it. Your fiance can ask for a bank summary. You should get your hands on THAT too. If its a remittance account, it will show your name as the beneficiary.

something like that would be more helpful than the ATM withdrawl receipts. I do not think the ATM receipts matter one way or the other.

Oh one more thing. There are receipts that are printed in thermal paper. Those fade in 2-3 months. Make sure to photocopy those.... so you'll have a copy thats readable. Then you can just staple the original on the photocopy. :)

Bank statement/summary is actually better than ATM receipts. The former has both your name and info on it while the latter will just have the account number thats not even complete (e.g: XXXXXXX646465421).
