Evidence of relationship

At your K-1 visa interview, I understand you're supposed to bring evidence of your relationship (emails, phone bills, photos, copy of engagement ring receipt, etc.) How much did you bring? Did the consulate officer even look at it or just conduct the interview? Do they keep all the stuff?

I did a search and came up empty handed on this topic.

I brought a ton of stuff, wasn't asked to show a bit of it.

Another K-1'er who I met in the waiting room told me about being asked about his relationship with his fiancee's son. He was happy to have been able to produce pictures of all three of them during a trip to DisneyLand, which satisfies the interviewer.

Many people aren't asked to show any extra evidence, but I'd bring stuff along, because you just never know.

Thanks for the tips. I'll bring a bunch of stuff and duplicate photos in case they want to keep them.

For emails, i just print 1 per month or 1 per 2 months. phone bills i showed it all, photos 6 or more, yes for engagement ring, recipts. But if he/she came for you and meet u in person, nothing to worry cos you have evidences. The pre-screener looked at it but the CO did not focused on it (in my case)

I brought cards from his side of the family to me, some travel docs proving I had visited him, my engagement ring reciept, a few pictures with a date stamp on them, phone bills spanning a few months and select emails that specifically talked about our relationship and plans. I think it was probably around 10-12 items, and I never had to show any of it.

We each brought all our plane tickets, boarding passes, etc, from the four visits we made during the time our I129F was pending, and I brought along printouts of a few emails I sent him (that showed his email and my reply---he always sent me a good morning email late the night before) and a copy of the first three pages of my inbox showing how much he'd emailed me. I also brought a few photos--about 8 of them, only 2 of which had both of us in them (there was one of my engagement ring, another of him with my dog, and two pictures of us in Banff National Park that were pretty obviously taken at the same spot).

All they looked at was the photos, and even then only cursorily. That's typical of the experiences most people have had at the consulates in Canada, from what I've seen here.
