if you are not worried about it why are you asking us???? we are simply saying it looks very odd and a BIG red flag. I am certain your ex wife would consider things very fishy too.... but that's not my business... you asked we told you. I hope it all works out for you one way or another... here or there, but strange it is to most of us.

p.s.

we are mostly women u.s.c's petitioning for our foreign husbands/SO's........... I think most of us pray this will never happen to us like your ex...

I wonder the same thing. I got divorced and remarried after 6 months. My first husband left after he got his greencard too, so I am hoping they don't give us a hard time. It wasn't my or my ex husband fault why he left, but USCIS always makes problems for people. I hope they don't make a problem for us or for you!

Don't worry, that's what they told me don't worry as long everything is legal and you can prove your marriage is real.

I know my wife even before i got divorced becouse my pervious marriage weren't working out and my wife and i were talking even before divorce.Good luck

this right here would be consider bad, you talk to other women and knew before divorce to me that part doenst look good

I agree with everyone. but let's say i have proved to them before that my pervious marriage was a real marriage and i went through all that. what is my wife's fault to not be with her husband . they also know that marriage in egypt between christians is not termnated at all. once 2 christians couple marry they will be married forever.any how we will never know untill we get to NVC. thanks all

I know you came here for advise and experience, but you were met, understandably with suspicion.

Anyway, I dont understand this line really. Are you saying you and your wife are both christians and therfore will be married forever? Whats the difference with your previous marriage? Im not being an *ss, Im just curious.

I do think it looks suspicious (in the eyes of the embassy), but they approve visas for cases where its not the petitioners first time at bringing a spouse here, so why not?

U.S citizens marry more than one forgiener and they end up both getting LPR or citizenship....

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Most Christians in Egypt are Catholic, and the Catholic church, overwhelmingly, frowns on divorce - all over the world, whether Greek Orthodox or Roman Catholic. It is possible for a couple to be legally divorced, however in the eyes of the church they are still married.

If the OP believes he will be legally married to either the first or second wife forever, just because they're Christian, he's sorely misinformed because a little money will make an annulment happen.

Hi all , I was Married to a USC from 2001 and we got divorced july,2006. soon after the divorce i went back to egypt and got married on october,2006 . i applied for i-130 when i was LPR and upgraded the petition on july2008. I am just wondring after all i rade here that my wife could have any problem after she go through NVC and interview.

I have visited her 5 times since we got married and i toke 3 leave of absance in the last 12 monthes to be with my wife.

Thanks for reading and giving your opinion.

Didn't you just come to the US like a year or two ago? And now you're applying for a wife that you have in Egypt? That would put a huge red flag up for me.

No i am not here from 2 oe 3 years ago i been in the US since 2001, did you read my topic? i am saying that i was married in the untired states and got divorced. after that i went to egypt to remarry. ofcourse it is a crime in the united states if you marry here while you are married in another country. no one can do that unless they crazy.

no i didn't bother to read your topic. I just post in threads and don't read the first topic. BTW what makes your first marriage different than your second in terms of getting divorced? Is the rule that if the wife isn't coptic you get a freebie divorce or something? that's very confusing.

Red flag: You married very soon after your divorce

Red flag: You were sponsored by a USC, now want to bring someone from your homeland to the US.

These two things make them look harder at your case for signs of green card fraud. One way fraud is committed is by marrying a USC, getting regularized, then divorcing and applying to bring over a spouse or fiance from the old country that they knew before the divorce. It's like that was the plan all along when you first came here. I'm not saying it is, but that's the way immigration examiners think.

you are gonna have a difficult time (if the consulate is doing their job correctly) coz what you did is very very suspicious.

I understand you were married 6 years...but to the consulate, that is just long enough to be here to get citizenship (it is now a shorter time but just recently changed). Then they are going to wonder why, since your family, your wife's family, and your wife are ALL in your homeland...Why are you petitioning for her to come here... (actually I kinda wonder that myself but it is none of my business so I'm just letting you know that the consulate will have these questions).

Do you have answers for these questions, should they ask you them?

I say just be prepared to have a LOT of proof of a legitimate relationship and LOTS of proof that you are wanting her here because you have no reason to be with her in your homeland.... It's gonna be a long ride. Good luck

Asking a bunch of american woman petitioning forgeiners their thoughts on the situation... maybe not the best decision. lol

totally off topic and i mean no harm whatsoever...... but most of Egyptian Christians in Egypt are protostants and orthodox and the minority r the catholics.

Thank you back to topic.

I disagree with your interpretation of what constitutes a Catholic. Having a Pope and taking communion and belief in the Holy Trinity is Catholocism. The majority IS Catholic.

My ex's cousin, did this very thing. He came over on his American wifes petition. Divorced a month after citizenship and now his new wife interviews on Thursday for a K3.

I'll let you know how that goes for him.

This just pisses me off. Were there any signs, or was it a bed of roses until the ax day for these 3?
