Shall we wait for NVC

Hello, we paid the AOS fee and IV fee and still havent heard nothing from NVC. We got the I-864 and DS-230, the cover sheets and all the supporting documents ready, shall we go ahead and send them already? Its been a week since we paid the IV bill and I tried calling but it was after hours and hoped that the automated voice system would tell me something but all it said is that it couldnt find my case. I will try calling again on Monday and talk to an operator. But i just wanted to get some advice from here first. Would it be a good idea to send everything already??

the automated part never seems to update, i paid the 70 online waiting for it to say approved will print that and send first documents then i will pay 400 online and im still waiting for few papers from him to do that step yet

How did you pay AOS and IV?

If you paid online, you should be able to check status online.

If you paid by mail, check with your bank.

Either way, as long as you have funds to cover the fees, you can go ahead and send in your AOS and IV packages.

It'll take a few days for it to get from the mailroom to processing anyway.

As long as you have the bar coded cover sheets send it NOW! Just make sure you send it with those cover sheets.

hey just wanted to know how much is the fees that the petitioner has to pay when he sends the I 864?He will become a US citizen soon and has already filed my I-130 in march 2007. So as soon as he gets his citizenship he will upgrade my application.

Can you tell me how long the process will take from the time he upgrades my application till I get an interview date?I am in India and he is in US.

you dont have to wait for nvc. if you have paid online you should be able to print the barcoded cover sheets that you need to send with each package [aos and ds IV]

Oh yeah we got approved and got to NVC on the same dates. We even were at the same service center and going to the same consulate. That is crazy!!

if it shows PAID then you should be able to print out the cover sheets, the instructions are on your nvc account online. attach the cover sheet and mail it to nvc
