We where approved at CSC on 23 Sept 2008.

Our cases has yet to arrive at NVC. We have called them and DOS. It is still held at CSC.

We have been checking the electronic case stautus update online and we have had another 2 touches/updates. One on the 30th Oct and another on the 31st Oct. To add to this we have this too.....another approval notice dated 30th Oct 2008.

I have never heard of 2 approvals myself and wonder what is going on over there.

We had an e-mail saying we had been approved the first time - 23rd Sept, but nothing this time. Maybe it's coming out of the dust and will be on it's way now to NVC?

Thanks in advance for any help, input or advice.

Yes, same thing happened to me. I was touched (VSC) three days in a row, but the NOA2 was dated for the first touch. Not sure what the other two were about. I neither got an email nor did the USCIS site reflect an approval -- I was simply mailed the NOA2.

If you're anything like your mate Shaz, then I'm sure you are pretty unique, MM!

With regard to your problem, I know of two posters from here that went through similar "NVC hell." For some reason, certain files take longer than others to reach the relevant embassies. I reckon it's because either:

A - You're in security checks

or most likely

B - Your file's gotten lost somewhere (it happens ya know).

If I remember correctly in the other cases, the USC got their elected representitives involved and that seemed to do the trick. Maybe you might want to look at going down that road?

Hey. Our case just got to NVC 6 weeks after our NOA2. We'd almost given up hope but then it showed up! I reckon yours will show up at NVC pretty soon too. Frustrating not knowing what's going on though huh? Especially when everyone else's seem to go through NVC in a few days... Doesnt seem to be any reason why a few of us get stuck in the system!

Hope it shows up soon.

Over the course of the last year this has been very common for CSC filers. It used to be that CSC held up skids of approved petitions to be sent overseas in bulk but now it appears they are just screwing up certain cases. I don't know what their excuse has been for others but I do know of a couple recently who were told it was CSC error and that their approved petition was in the wrong place.

If you do a search here you are sure to find these posts.

As a side note and probably not relating to the OP...there are security checks at every level/stage of this process. We were held up at NVC for three weeks (no clue why). So it's common enough to get held up once your petition reaches the next stage BUT when nobody seems to know where your petition is, as seems the case in these circumstances, it's a whole different concern! ;)

OP.. i'd keep calling until you can perhaps talk to someone that actually might know what they're talking about.

I'm very unique, but Sharon is one of a kind! We love her as she is. :jest:

I agree with you, we are in checks. Well "they" say review. Our case isn't lost I don'k think as 'they" have been touching it alot the past few days.

We have contacted the congressman before and they couldn't help, maybe now they can. Well, not tomorrow!

If they can hurry my skid over to NVC I would be most greatful!

I have been reading and reading posts. Still don't find one thats quite like ours.

We have called DOS many times. NVC everyday, sometimes twice. We have been told that our case is under review. I wonder why they approve it then review it at USCIS.

Thanks Kim.

Oh boy! I don't want to scare you or anything but this happenend to us on a military expedite request for my K1 visa. We got our NOA2 on 11/20/07 and another one on 11/28/07 and after that the papers did not reach NVC for 2 months. One officer at CSC finally took it upon himself to find out what happened and we found out that the file had coolly been forgotten and would have still been there if he did not personally put a note on it and forward it to the NVC. I suggest that you start calling the service centre right now. All the best!

Gee whizz! I'm not scared though, it's alright.

Thank you for your input. I see you are reunited now, great!

Did your NOA2's have the same date?

We have just received the SECOND in the post! 6 weeks after the first one!

We called NVC a couple of times... The trouble was not with NVC though because they hadn't received it. We tried to speak with people at the USCIS directors office a few times and also emailed Luke's congressman. Then it just turned up... Back in the system. Typical. 6 weeks sucks though.... We found out it had turned up the next time Luke rang NVC and it had finally arrived. Try calling the directors office or your congressman. Good luck!

Thanks for that. We have called them (uscis) many times, the directors office and been in touch with the congressman.

We now know following the last conversation an hour ago, that our case was approved again due to extra security checks. It had to go to a supervisor for approval and should not have been approved the first time round - apparently. We have been told that there is a delay right now and a back-log for some reason they couldn't say as to why. We do our case is in the dispatch area in a skid!
