Interesting how the subject so suddenly changed to charity, rather than sticking to the points at hand.

Tactics of a failed argument.

So....

Are John and Cindy McCain taking care of their families?

Since you are so uninformed, lets talk a little about charity family

Start with Obama, coming from the Huffington Post:

OBAMA ON CHARITY = PATHETIC

From 2000 through 2004, the senator and his wife never gave more than $3,500 a year in charitable donations -- about 1 percent of their annual earnings.

That is really pathetic.

In 2005, however, that total jumped to $77,315 (4.7 percent of annual earnings), and to $60,307 in 2006 (6.1 percent). Taken as a whole, these disbursements made up a small portion of Obama's annual income. According to TaxProf Blog, the Illinois senator gave "well short of the biblical 10% tithe for all seven years."

When he started to get rich off of his books and decided to run for president, he thought to himself, maybe I should give a little more?...What does he do, he gives more than $27,000 to his radical black liberation theology church!!!

MCCAIN ON CHARITY

Senator McCain donates his royalties from his books to charitable organizations. This sum has totaled over $1,800,000 since 1998 when he signed his first book deal. Senator McCain's book income of $256,898 for 2006 and 2007 is comprised of earnings for Faith of My Fathers, Worth the Fighting For, Why Courage Matters, Character is Destiny, and Hard Call. Beginning in 1991, Senator McCain has also donated the increase in his Senate salary for that year and each subsequent year to charity because he opposed the Congressional pay increase at that time and pledged not to accept the pay raises. The cumulative total of these donations is over $450,000.

2006

In 2006, Senator and Mrs. McCain donated $129,390 from community assets to charity, of which Senator McCain's one-half allocation was $64,695. This is 19% of his adjusted gross income.

2007

In 2007, Senator and Mrs. McCain donated $210,933 from community assets to charity, of which Senator McCain's one-half allocation is $105,467. This is 27.2% of his adjusted gross income for the year.

McCain's Family:

McCain's family is as complicated as it is large. As they did in childhood, the McCain children still find one another by their father's side: in rafting boats, on hikes in the Grand Canyon, on mopeds in Bermuda, and relaxing in Arizona. There are the children from his first marriage - Doug (adopted stepson-pilot for American Airlines) and Andy (adopted stepson, VP at Hensley & CO), from his first wife's former marriage - whom he adopted when they were young, as well as a daughter, Sidney (works in music industry). Then there is the second family: Meghan (journalist, author, voted Kerry in 2004, thankfully she recently converted to Republican), Jimmy (20 year old marine, stationed in Iraq), Jack (22, in the US Naval Academy), and the McCains' adopted daughter, Bridget, 17 .....What a story - many years ago while visiting one of Mother Teresa's orphanages in Bangladesh, Cindy McCain's heart went out to a baby with a cleft palate, and another with a hear condition. Cindy brought both babies back home, paid off necessary surgeries and medical care, and adopted one, while friend Nicki Gullett adopted the other. It was extraordinary to see Bridget McCain on stage with her adopted family! This is true selflessness.

You do know that someone can be charitable with things other than money, right? Like time, materials/possessions, etc.

How much of your money do you give to charities, greatgate?

This is a personal question, but I will answer it...

I am 24 and still in school for another semester. Tuition is outrageous. I have student loans. I can't afford to give money to charity right now

...(unless giving money to my fiancée and her family counts)...

2007

I bought my fiancée and her mother a house, not an expensive one ($4,000), but still, a house is a house. Here is the story...

You see, they are very poor, they live in Acapulco, Mexico and own land on the mountain, about a 4 minutes drive up, but it was just the land and no house. So they were renting a 1 car garage sized shack built out of sticks. I sent her the money and she used it to build a home. So excluding the spending cash I gave her on the side, last year I donated 20% of my income, you add in the spending cash and it is probably closer to 25%.

2008

I was flat broke from roughly January to the end of August. I donated what I could to her, which was probably about $50 a month, then I got killed in the immigration process in April (long story), but an old investment finally paid out in late August, so I am back strong and feeling good!!! I paid off a $600 debt that my fiancée owed and currently donate to her $300 a month, every 10 days I send her $100, so $10 a day.

...You should try paying attention to the economy, the dollar is really strong right now, especially against the pound (22 year low against the dollar!)

BTW - who would put a man in office that was at the bottom two of his entire class..LOL At least Obama is highly educated.

Highly educated and the #1 most liberal Senator in the country. Votes present on tough issues. Junior Senator. No experience. Never ran anything in his life but a campaign. No business experience. No experience. Wants to spread the wealth around.

Highly educated but very radical and very poor judgment:

Rezco-Convicted felon that purchased the adjacent lot to Obama's multi-million dollar home the exact same day Obama bought his mansion, if Rezco didn't do this, Obama would not have been able to buy his mansion.

Ayers- Stomped on the US flag, former domestic terrorist, dedicated a book to the man that assassinated Kennedy, and Obama worked with this guy and even blurbed one of his books.

Wright- He said GD America, how can you be president when your pastor of 20 years says things like GD America? The (white) government created the AIDS virus to exterminate blacks? US of KKK of America?

With every breath that's in me, I hope and pray that you and everybody like you is so depressed on Wednesday morning that you pack your bags and leave the country.

Because whether it's McCain or Obama, this nation would be better off without hate-mongers like you.

No hate in you.

There's nothing hateful in her post. It's amusing how when you libs can't handle the truth, you call the poster "hateful" or "racist". That gets old and ineffective fast. Yea, the Great Uniter makes you guys kinder, gentler people.

I won't b depressed if Obama wins. It will be fun to spend 4 years (coz that's all he'll get) saying "I told you so!"

Thanks, you just made me like her even more. She is really sweet. A true Washington outsider, new face to politics, just what we need in this country.

...I can guarantee she doesn't have those radical associations like Barack Hussein Obama, wow!!! Black liberation theology for 20+ years. Could you imagine!!! Getting your daughters baptized by a guy that says "GD America", "US of KKK of A"!!! That alone is a bad omen.

Then you got his pal Ayers who bombed the US Pentagon, NYC Police Headquarters, dedicated a book to the man that assassinated our wonderful president John F. Kennedy!!! On top of that Barack has no experience!!! He picks a Washington insider as his running mate that has been in the Senate since his 20s!! Biden is supposed to be the foreign policy expert and he voted against the Gulf War to allow Saddam to capture Kuwait, then he realized he was wrong a voted on Kuwait so he took a chance and voted for the Iraq war!!! Then he voted against the surge!!!! Then he proposed segregating Iraq into 3 separate areas, one section Sunni, one Shi'ite, and one Kurdish, with a central government in Baghdad!!! What about the areas of Iraq that are diverse?? Do you kick them out of their homes and tell them to move to the part of the country that is segregated to just their kind???? His foreign policy plan spelled two words: CIVIL WAR!!! Then there is Obama's tax policies, tax the job creators (rich) in an already weakened economy and you get more jobs?? That doesn't make sense? First its keep taxes low on families making 300K, then 250K, then 200K, then 150K, now its 120K??? Force struggling small business owners to supply their employees with health care??? They are struggling enough to stay afloat!!! Double the capital gains tax??? Obama is for helping the poor but his brother lives in Kenya off of $12 a year? His aunt lives in public housing? Tony Rezco?? ACORN??? Endorsed by Hamas?? Farrakhan?? Something just isn't adding up, too many red flags!!!

Interesting. Not only have you completely ignored Palin's being-in-bed with big business, but pushing an agenda against gays and other women, her own questionable alliance with religious extremists (which normally I'd not complain about but people like you wish to bring up Wright).

You ignore that Obama is not responsible for internal ACORN affairs, not responsible for things Ayers did in the past, not responsible for who endorses him, not responsible for

I love the "Washington insider" tag, to pretty much annihilate how Biden has served longer in the U.S. Senate than John McCain, by a decade. You also got it wrong that he was in his 20s, because to be a Senator, you must be at least 30. Also love the "Hussein" bit, because as you know, only smart people associate names with terrorism. Or the most retarded.

It's very clear the "red" flags you have on Obama are all selective outrage, and if you had any decent standard of outrage, you'd be outraged at both parties, not just one.

I love how you put it down SRVT.

Vote Barack Obama. Nov. 4th.

It's the clear choice. :dance::dance::thumbs:

So....

Religion Matters...but nobody has a problem with Palin's daughter having a child out of wedlock?

She conceived the child out of wedlock, but the plan is for her to marry the father. As I said before, Obama's mother was also 17 and unwed when she conceived him. Most of you libs would have aborted Obama, as you would prefer that Bristol Palin abort her child and Sarah Palin abort her "inconvenient" down syndrome son. The absolute hypocrisy of your questioning this girl having her child while supporting abortion on demand is pitiful.

So....

Family Matters...but nobody has a problem with McCain leaving his first wife, Carol McCain.

While John McCain was a POW, she took care of their home and their 3 children. But McCain returned from Vietnam in 1973,

his wife had been in a car accident, and didn't look exactly like the swimwear model he married.

By 1980 he abandoned and divorced Carol McCain. One month later, he married Cindy McCain. Rich, beautiful, and 18 years younger.

John McCain has called the breakup of his first marriage his greatest moral failing. It wasn't a good thing, but he and Carol have remained friends. She says, "He's a good guy. We are still friends. He is the best man for president." If she can forgive him, we don't need to. That's between the two of them.

Cindy McCain...claims to be an only child, but the truth is her father had another daughter. The father left his inheritance to Cindy,

and her half sister Kathleen got nothing. Are John and Cindy McCain taking care of their families?

I didn't take the time to find issues to bash Michelle Obama with, because she's not running for president. But, if we are going after their spouses, I should take the time to dig up dirt on her.
