News flash: There are millions of people who will vote for Obama that actually understand the issues... in fact he is ahead of McCain in almost every demographic (age, gender, ethnicity, etc). The stereotype that Obama followers are clueless sheep is essentially sour grapes from the McCainiacs & has little basis in reality (much like the rest of the rhetoric spewing out of the McCain camp).

So pot, get the kettle on speed dial cus you will be dialing it a lot!

But the rhetoric from the Obama camp is true because he said it? But the followers aren't sheep. Right.

The Obama camp isn't perfect in this respect... far from it. However anyone who is even remotely objective can see that McCain has run a very negative & dirty campaign, based on rhetoric, half-truths & lies. The right wingers are simply too biased & busy hating those awful libruls to see this. You apparently are one of the McCainiacs, based on your comments.

If you actually care about the truth (which I have some doubts about) try www.factcheck.org. It's about as unbiased as you can get & tells the truth about both candidates.

I'm at least as objective as you are, and I don't see McCain's campaign as dirty and negative anymore than Obama's is. Obama has the advantage of a loving press who has wanted to cover for him, make excuses for him, defend him and coddle him. He is on the cover of 8 magazines right now to McCain's 1. It has been forbodden to criticize him or reject him without being pilloried and demeaned, much like on this board. Left wing hatred is palpable and has been long before this race started coz most of them are not voting for Obama. They are voting against the Republicans and they have become totally irrational and paranoid about the future.

The media is intent on making McCain look bad and Obama look nearly flawless so that nothing sticks to him. I resent that to the max. It's very scary to see how many people are so easily manipulated by this baldfaced agenda. I'm less afraid of Obama being president (because I believe he will be a one term president and prove me right) than I am of the consequences of the precedent a successful manipulation upon our ability to get accurate and unbiased news and information.

VW thank you for your comments... they are well thought out & I agree with some of it. First of all I strongly disagree with you about who has run a dirtier campaign; from my perspective McCain has run a much dirtier campaign than Obama. McCain ran a clean campaign in 2000 vs. Bush and he payed dearly for it, so this time around he has employed the "if you can't beat em, join em" approach. The thing is many polls suggest that the American public is fed with with the Karl Rove sleaze tactics & thus McCain's approach has backfired.

Now where we agree is that the media does have a liberal bent & they (either intentionally or unintentionally) favor Obama. In a perfect world the media would be 100% unbiased & objective but it's not. With that being said for every time the media slants a story one way or another there's another time where the media reports the truth & the guilty party plays the media bias card. There is no black & white here, just shades of gray.

What is really the truth about Obama? Telling people what they want to hear and making every promise to keep all 300,000,000 Americans happy? How do you think he will be able to do all he says? What percentage will become reality? Do you think he will make good on everything he has said for the past year? Is it more than talk? And again, where have I posted one thing about McCain? Or that I was voting for him, or even believed him?

The truth is neither candidate will do much other than the status quo currently happening with both Democrats and Republicans.

Once people pull the stick out of their a$$, start holding them accountable, and open their heads to actual competition (which the two party system theory is not), then things will really "change". This cheerleading ####### for both candidates is disgusting. How stupid do you have to be to be a mouthpiece for someone who doesn't value your vote? If they valued people's votes they might not be talking to them like they ARE idiots.

I stand by my comments... as for whether or not Obama will do what he says that is an entirely different topic & we will have to wait 4 years to find out (if he wins Tuesday). There is simply no excuse or justification for the smears, sleaze & rhetoric... that is the point I am trying to get across.

Exactly. So why do the Obama supporters talk like he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Why will he cure the world's ills?

Only because his plans ever-so-slightly deviate from Bush. Just a little bit more than McCain's.

If you think about it, the fundamentals of privacy rights and search and seizure, or wiretap/terrorism laws, McCain, Obama, and Bush are in lockstep. Obama made no effort to make the NSA and Bush liable, because if he's President, I'm sure he wants these free wiretaps too. Hell, he may want to continue the Bush signing statements frenzy. He made every effort to help AT&T out, and in return got his DNC funded by them. If you search the topics made by me, you'll see the nice articles articulating how lavish this party was and who was involved, and more importantly, the role their involvement plays in the greater scheme of things.

Despite the messiahrrific display in regards to Obama, I can't even get an intelligent conversation out of McCain supporters as to what's so great about McCain and what he would accomplish. All I see is justification of McCain because of Obama character assassinations not even related to pertinent issues this country is facing. Beyond political corruption, which happens to affect about.. 535 Congresspeople and two of the top people in the Executive Branch. Just covering those who can be elected.
