There is going to be a sequel to the Jim Carey movie, The Almighty, and Barack is going to play the part of God instead of Morgan Freeman.:lol: He'd be perfect for the part, as he can already walk on water and cure the worlds ills. Maybe he could even get his illegal aunt to make a cameo appearance. It would probably break all records for top grossing movie. Just think of the herds of sheep stampeding their way to the theater.:lol:

Funny you should bring that up, cause I've been wondering why so many people who say they don't believe in God plan to vote for Him to be prez.

Simple. He ain't no religious freak.

He isn't a religious freak, his unquestioning followers are just freaks.

McCainiacs calling Obama supporters "unquestioning followers" is hypocrisy to the extreme. Have you seen the McCain rallys? These tards believe anything & everything they hear, truth be damned.

Have I ever posted that I was for McCain?

Whether you did or didn't doesn't matter, the point remains.

And what do the Obama tards do? Oh, that's right, every word from his mouth is the gospel truth. Hello pot, this is the kettle........

News flash: There are millions of people who will vote for Obama that actually understand the issues... in fact he is ahead of McCain in almost every demographic (age, gender, ethnicity, etc). The stereotype that Obama followers are clueless sheep is essentially sour grapes from the McCainiacs & has little basis in reality (much like the rest of the rhetoric spewing out of the McCain camp).

So pot, get the kettle on speed dial cus you will be dialing it a lot!

Was it Karl Rove or spookyturtle that started this thread? Karl sure doesn't need any help, doing an excellent job of making a mockery of the election system.

A master at distraction injecting positively irrelevant and even childish trivia into an important election to shelter the true issues resulting in stupid instead of intelligent discussions as to whom can lead this country best. And the American people are dumb enough to fall for it.

Karl doesn't need any help, and the good republicans are beginning to realize the damage he is causing to their party.

That's the quote of the week!

I'm sorry, were we talking about Yeshua or Mohammad? Because their unquestioning followers are freaks.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

After 23 years with Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his religion is pretty freaky.

This is the reason he'd make an excellent president...don't go off what you hear...you know the saying

Especially since it was called Bruce almighty and there already was a sequel called Evan almighty. So it would have to be a trilogy :)

VW, why are you confused?

Most people (like 95%) of people voting for Obama actually don't think he's God's gift to man. Just someone who they think makes a better pres than McCain. Chill, why the anger about it all?

wow, a breath of fresh air in this post... :)

But the rhetoric from the Obama camp is true because he said it? But the followers aren't sheep. Right.

The Obama camp isn't perfect in this respect... far from it. However anyone who is even remotely objective can see that McCain has run a very negative & dirty campaign, based on rhetoric, half-truths & lies. The right wingers are simply too biased & busy hating those awful libruls to see this. You apparently are one of the McCainiacs, based on your comments.

If you actually care about the truth (which I have some doubts about) try www.factcheck.org. It's about as unbiased as you can get & tells the truth about both candidates.

I'm at least as objective as you are, and I don't see McCain's campaign as dirty and negative anymore than Obama's is. Obama has the advantage of a loving press who has wanted to cover for him, make excuses for him, defend him and coddle him. He is on the cover of 8 magazines right now to McCain's 1. It has been forbodden to criticize him or reject him without being pilloried and demeaned, much like on this board. Left wing hatred is palpable and has been long before this race started coz most of them are not voting for Obama. They are voting against the Republicans and they have become totally irrational and paranoid about the future.

The media is intent on making McCain look bad and Obama look nearly flawless so that nothing sticks to him. I resent that to the max. It's very scary to see how many people are so easily manipulated by this baldfaced agenda. I'm less afraid of Obama being president (because I believe he will be a one term president and prove me right) than I am of the consequences of the precedent a successful manipulation upon our ability to get accurate and unbiased news and information.

Now see, I wasn't convinced by the media who I would vote for (if I could). I actually went to each of their websites, read what they had to say, listened to what they said during the debates or during speeches, etc etc. I don't make my decisions on who to vote for based on op-ed pieces (which tend to be what is posted in VJ, as opposed to actual stories), commentaries, or anything else that gets flung out there. I *gasp*actually base it on what comes out of their actual mouths *double gasp*.

With the sorry state of journalism in this race, articles are op-ed pieces and commentary.

And they get less merit on my scale of what I use to make my choice.

Ditto.

I do not vote by party. I vote by candidate. I do not vote based on personality or how good a person is at making speeches. I vote based on the issues they support, the ones they don't, their ability to communicate intelligently with leaders from other countries, and how I think their policies will affect me and the planet.

Originally, I supported Gravel. He, unfortunately, had no chance though. Obama was the next-best according to my standards.
