Oh, so only USC opinions are welcome on this message board now? News to me.

Regardless, you state your opinion that Obama is a drug addict which seems to make him inelligable to run for the POTUS while all the while the sitting president is one. Your logic sucks.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Well, it might be NEWS to you that you can't vote and therefore shouldn't have an opinion, but it's not the first time someone has said it around here.

The other party who said it had some pretty hot-headed opinions too.

What I don't care for about Bush has nothing to do with the fact that he is a drug addict. Try again.

I won't try too hard, you can't vote anyway, so who cares?

You better care and for the record I can vote.

I can vote, too.

I wasn't responding to you.

What's your point?

"My" logic sucks because by the time you put words in my mouth, it isn't my logic anymore. It's yours, and yours sucks.

Are we going to end with a nah, nah, nah, nah nah?

So, does it matter whether a US president is a drug addict or not? Surely your point is only valid if it matters and the fact that we have a sitting president rather points to the fact that actually, it doesn't.

The point about Cindy McCain, in case you missed it, is not that she is a drug addict, but the choices that she made in order to feed her addiction. Do you have some evidence that Obama acquires his cigarettes illegally? I presume you mean his tobacco addiction as he is not addicted to any other drug.

Makes you think. There's definitely a double standard goin on but I think it's more to do with party affiliation rather than the color of each candidate's skin.

It shouldn't make you think about anything. There is no double standard. People are supporting Obama DESPITE some pretty serious charactor flaws. Does everyone? No they don't.

What do you think? If John McCain was all of the things that Obama is that Democrats would vote for him instead? Yeaaaah. Of course.

The impression that Obama has any more serious character flaws than McCain is what this OP is all about, and it has been a double standard. Nobody has seriously questioned McCain's character as Obama has not made that the focus of his campaign, but rather McCain's political ideas. You've got to be wearing blinders to not have seen that. Palin is a different story, although again, it hasn't been Obama that has attacked her character. While you could argue that some of the most objectionable claims against Obama's character came from outside of McCain, even Colin Powell and other respected Republicans have admonished the character assasination of Obama as a stain on the GOP.

Lots of presidents have had major character flaws. Bush, well the list is too long. Clinton cheated, JFK cheated, Nixon authorized the break in... I just want someone who is going to fix the economy healthcare etc. As long as being a jerk or being addicted to a substance etc doesn't encroach on their ability to be president, I don't really care.

Tobacco? You think that's what I'm referring to? Don't you people know ANYTHING about this man's past?

No, he is an admitted alcoholic and cocaine addict who used from in high school and thru collage. He did not get his drugs legally. If you insist on using Cindy McCain to deny John McCain, then when you go to the actual candiate to find illegal drug activity, you have to go straight to Barack.

Your liberal news sources have betrayed you in their rush to make history by boosting this man, underplaying his missteps, and refusing to be honest about him. That's why he's called the Messiah, coz the media presents him as someone who does no wrong. Since you're not interested in facts, you sound like fools to anyone who has done the work to check him out.

You know what, Steven? Not everyone is buying what they're selling. There is a such an amazing double standard that even the media is becoming embarrassed about it. It's too bad that Colin Powell isn't as concerned for democracy as he is about covering Barry's a$$. I wonder what's in it for Powell, anyway. Obama stands against everything he used to stand for.

Didn't Bush do the same thing? I'm wondering if any political figure hasn't dabbled in something. I should run for pres, I haven't done anything! Seriously though, VP is my new dream job. You don't do anything except go to funerals around the world and break senate ties (which seriously happens how often?). BEST JOB EVER!

No...it's just that fortunately, there are enough level headed people in both parties who aren't afraid to criticize their own party's tactics when they have gone too far. It's not just Colin Powell who has come out and admonished the smear tactics...there are many well respected Republicans who have said similar. The two candidates we have are the two candidates both parties, through their own arduous process have chosen to represent their party. To imply that Obama has pushed himself onto the Democratic Party as someone the party doesn't really want is nonsensical.

Cindy McCain isn't running for president, but Barry the addict is. To keep bringing up Cindy, but refuse to acknowledge Barry's criminal drug behavior hypocrisy, plain and simple. And not knowing about it at this late date is simply stupid.

Good luck w/ that VP thing!

You got something against Joe the Plumber?

Yes. His name is not Joe, his AGI is nowhere near $250,000 and he's not even a plumber.

His name is Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, he worked as a plumber, and never said he made $250,000. Lay off those commie information sources; they just lie and lie.

"Makes $250,000" and "has an AGI of $250,000" are two very different things.

Joe seems to have a basic problem with business concepts, such as the difference between

gross income and net profit. Net is what you pay taxes on. Joe could have $1 million or

$10 million in revenue - that doesn't mean his taxable income would reach the $250,000

threshold.

His misguided "concern" about having to pay more under Obama makes him either Joe the Idiot

or Joe the Liar.
