The great things McCain would accomplish? What does he need to accomplish? He's a great Amercian, that's enough in itself.

and McCain is going to help us out...?? yeah right

Obama tax plan: (a) Double capital gains tax, ( B ) tax the rich that hire people and give raises and promotions

Economic Result: (a) People that retire in his presidency will pay double in taxes on their investments, ( B ) the rich will fire employees or hire less, lay workers off, give less raises less often, and pass the tax hike onto the consumer by raising product prices (not all of these but a combination)

McCain tax plan: Decrease capital gains tax, keep taxes low on the rich that hire people and give raises and promotions

Economic Result: (a) People that retire in his presidency will pay half the taxes on their investments as they would under Obama, ( B ) Job creation, more hiring, can afford to give out raises and promotions

I'm sad to see this turn into a debate about the candidates; it's only tangentially related to Obama's campaign in that he received illegal money for his campaign and has to return it. He doesn't have the same internal controls in place that McCain and Hillary Clinton had for their donations to make sure something like this didn't happen.

The true issue here that we should be concerned with and learn from is how our government handled her immigration status. Not only was there not any follow-up with regard to a judge's deportation order, there was also her ability to receive public assistance as an illegal alien at what could only be at the expense of citizens and legal aliens. Finally, I would like an explanation as to exactly why ICE is requiring additional levels of approval before deportation takes place until after the election. As I stated before, if only citizens can vote - what difference does it make if people who can't vote are required to leave? I don't really care which political party is in charge, I think it's awful that ICE would take an action that raises questions about motives and possible voter fraud.

I've learned that when my SO gets here, he won't be able to contribute to an election campaign which is not something I'd ever really considered before. While I knew he wouldn't be able to vote, I had no idea that it was a deportable offense to even register to vote even if he never did. He's stated that he'll just have to donate his time to his preferred political party. :)

WRONG. If the touted trickle-down theory that you're parroting worked, Bush's tax cuts would be working and there would be major spikes in job creation, particularly beyond sh!tty Wal-Mart type jobs. There wouldn't be such an economic problem with jobs, which started before the collapse, because rich people aren't being foreclosed upon.

And if you knew anything about economics, you'd know the way our tax system works, long term tax cuts destroy the economy. Right now the tax burden lies upon the middle and lower class, so Obama's plan (from face value, even though I doubt it would -actually- be this way) is better because it lays less tax burden on the shoulders of the middle/lower class, because of declining wages and increased price of goods / housing over the last several years. Tax cuts are intended to be short term, and Republicans, being the ones who like to talk about fiscal responsibility, know this.

Try thinking outside the McCain box.

I don't want to be helped out, don't need to be helped out. That's why Obama's approach to governmrnt as savior is so repugnant to me. He wants to continue the ** tradition of increasing dependancy on government to fill in for your on failings. That, sadly, is something that the morons who want easy cash from those with the ambition to earn it count on. It works all too well.

Another telling post from the 'Lone Voice of Reason'. Obama is no saviour and none of his supporters view him in that light. People will vote for him because he offers a reasonable approach to attaining fiscal responsibility. Your candidate hasn't even bothered to adress the issue - his only 'plan' is to fix a Bush tax break that he voted against originally. Democrats are hard working people just the same as GOP supporters - and independants. To suggest otherwise is to buy the wing nut negativity lock, stock and barrell which is certainly not good for America.

Thank goodness for secret-ballot voting. With all of this shouting going on we'd never have free and fair elections under the old system. Aren't there other sites for these diatribes? Reading this drivel here is like finding a condom display in the cereal aisle at the supermarket.

Explain to me, exactly how it's helpful or reasonable to call opposition supporters 'morons' and 'dimocrats'? What have you achieved with those negative labels?

There are things I don't like about McCain's choices and policies and there is a lot I don't like about Palin, but if someone chooses to support them that doesn't mean I consider them morons, or indeed that I 'hate' McCain or Palin. I don't think you are a moron because you support a particular political candidate. What I find moronic is your inability to distinguish between genuine political discourse and emotional rhetoric designed to elicit mindless outrage. That is moronic and pathetic.

No, her arguments are masculine and forthright and everyone else must bow to her superior intellect. The fact that not only does she think Obama is a drug addict, but that makes him unsuitable for president when the sitting president, the one from her own party is officially an addict demonstrates her supreme aptitude for logical thinking. Oh, to be like her.

This is so sad that McCain/Palin would do just about anything to win. destroying peoples lives seem to be one of them. Look where we are all talking about someone being from another country, We are all waiting for our family members to come o this country because we believe it s a great country otherwise we all be where they are at this moment. Look not all of us know about everything in our families and not ll of us want to or take the time to .The Ladies life is in danger, I do not say she should not do this legally, she tried and before we all start casting stones , we only know part of the story and we should wait until we know what she has done since then to make this right.
