I am going to school to be a LMT (licensed massage therapist). Though massage and it's Eastern modalities like accupressure and shiatsu are not medicine, per se, I have seen wonders occur in peoples bodies. In the States we have a modality called Cranial Sacral Therapy. It is truly amazing!

I had a migraine headache and pain in my back before the session. After 50 minutes session I felt like running across the US, swimming across the ocean and then running across Europe to get back to my Olya! hehe

Yes, Yes, YES! Without a doubt. I haven't seen a doctor for a medical condition in nearly 10 years. I always see an alternative practitioner. I use homeopathy, acupuncture, aromatherapy, craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation to name a few! The therapist I see over here is recommended by doctors at the local hospital. I injured my back a while ago and couldn't walk, was in agony etc. I called OH who wanted to take me to ER but I called my therapist and she said NO! She came round to treat me and within 6 weeks it was healed. I agree with her that if I had been hauled up in a hospital the treatment would have been more invasive with drugs etc and it would have taken me way longer to recover. I will always take an alternative treatment over a synthetic drug if I can. After all, traditional methods of medicine have been around way longer than these drugs that cause all manner of side effects.

Please note: The above message may cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery. May cause dizziness, confusion, agitation, hallucinations and agressive behaviour. Tell your doctor about any medications you may be taking and they'll give you some more. Do not take mornings, afternoons or evenings.

I went to a naturopath once... I don't 'believe' in that stuff because it sounds like a load of hocus pocus but she gave me bach flower essences and they helped me out of a difficult spot. If I had a health problem that conventional medicine wasn't helping, I'd go back...

I primarily use conventional medicine, but am currently looking at some natural supplements and alternative treatments to augment what I am already doing.

Not sure if this counts....but on my Father's side of the family, there is a recipe which we call 'The Cure"..a herbal tonic of sorts. This is passed down from Mother to Son, from this son to his daughter, from this daughter to her son etc etc.

My Father has it and has passed it onto me, although I still need to learn how to recognise the required plant better. So in a way, I guess "Yes" is the answer. :)

I voted no. But this is a great poll because my husband has pretty frequent backaches. When he arrives, I'll talk to him about seeing an acupuncturist. See what he thinks. Thanks, ToddMinc, for opening my mind up to something new

Although my fiance and I take many medications per day for two different forms of muscle wasting disorder we both benefit from massage therapy

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything
