I filed my I130 october 8 2007, because of the backlash in July 2007 they did not send my noa 1 until January 18th. I sent in my I129 back in February 2008 and got my Noa 1 for in March 2008. It has been a year since I petitioned. I just did a research inquired and they sent me a notice today saying my case is still pending. No additional information. I have been getting a little help from Congressman but not much. I have really lost patience because my son is over in the philippines with my wife and I am missing him growing up. I lived 3 years in asia with my wife and I am very temped to go back to teaching English in Korea so we can be together. Up until now I been taking a some what passive stance because the uscis website was showing that they had not reach my process date until now. Now I have lost patience and I really want to hit them aggressive in anyway I can to get them to speed things up. I going to really start pressuring my congress man to step and start calling the uscis daily if I have to. What suggestions do you guys have to speed things up? I been reading the forums and many people who petition after me already got their noa 2. So I can actually get to see my son grow up some what do i need to do to get immigration to speed up????/?

There's no rhyme or reason. You are actually past the processing dates on both your apps. The I-130 they're processing is February 2008 and the I-129F is 6 months. I would call, call, call and request and expedite. Hopefully they will accept and get you approved quickly.

Hi bigchez,

We are in the same boat. We sent our application on Oct. 17th 2007, they didn't send NOA1 until Jan. 15th 2008 and we are still waiting for NOA2. It's just ridiculous. I've seen people on here who applied way after us and are ready to move to the States already. My husband has called USCIS numerous times and you can't squeeze out anything that resembles an answer. I feel for you having a son and not being able to be part of his life for so long! I feel we are getting time stolen from us also. If we could at least get an idea of WHEN, we could hold on to SOMETHING.

We are also in the same situation...filed our I-130 in November with a NOA1 in January and filed our I-129 in February. Our case was recently moved to our local office which my congressman's office said is probably a mistake!!! My congressman also is not helping much. I guess all we can do is call and hope to get some kind of answer at some point. I feel for you missing your son. My husband missed our son's birth and still has never met him...let's hope things start moving on our cases soon...

I going to try calling this morning. I going to request that they tell me the reason why my case is pending. It is ridiculous how a lot of people on this website who petition after us were able to get their petition through quicker. All I can do it try my best!!!!

Never be impatient and hopeless. My husband and i and our children waited 12months before USCIS approved both our I-129F and I-130 petitions and we thought the waiting is over since 1 more month to go for interview but unfortunately,we still had to wait 7 weeks after interview to get our visas in hand.So we did had 15 months total. We're now enjoying our fmaily time together here in America. You have been patience so just be patient some more.Goodluck

LOVE IS PATIENT, LOVE IS KIND. IT DOES NOT ENVY, IT DOES NOT NOT BOAST, IT IS NOT PROUD. IT IS NOT RUDE, IT IS NOT SELF-SEEKING, IT IS NOT EASILY ANGERED, IT KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS. LOVE DOES NOT DELIGHT IN EVIL BUT REJOICES WITH THE TRUTH. IT ALWAYS PROTECTS, ALWAYS TRUST, ALWAYS HOPES, ALWAYS PERSEVERSE. LOVE NEVER FAILS.
