Hey all, it's been a while since I last posted here.

Things are going pretty well here. I had my biometrics in December and got a letter saying they had moved my case from Los Angeles to Laguna Niguel in January ... and then nothing! :crying:

I was just about to schedule an InfoPass appointment today when I saw they had touched my case again! I don't have any more details than that, but I am praying that it is an interview date.

I do have a little bit of concern though ... my husband is being very, well ... childish. He is not very responsible and I threw an absolute fit when I found out he has NEVER filed taxes, at 40 years of age! We had to send an explanation letter in with the I-485 application explaining that he thought he didn't have to because he was earning so little, but still ... it terrifies me that it will come back to haunt us. I don't think he filed this year either, despite me forcing him to log on to TurboTax and talking him through it all. *sighs*

He has no paper trail on himself, he's always dealt with cash and doesn't have a bank account, any loans or debts, no car loan (he doesn't drive), his insurance is supplied by work (and they won't accept me on it) and I'm afraid that we won't have the evidence they'll want to see at the interview. I mean, we know we live together, but how can we prove that to them? We have photos from the wedding and testimonials from friends and family and can answer all kinds of questions about where we live and such (like what we have for dinner, what time he goes to work, that kind of thing). He's such a scatterbrain that it scares me for the interview; I had an ER emergency a while back and when the nurse asked him how old I was, he couldn't answer! He knew how old I was, it just blanked in his brain. <_<

I guess I'm getting really worked up and stressed over the fact that I'm not sure we have the paperwork and financial connections they will want to see, and that he might do something dumb in the interview and make them think that we barely know each other.

Phew, that was longer than I planned. Can anyone offer any advice? Is there anything I can start getting together now? I am frustrated that I put so much trust in him and that he didn't do any of the things I asked him to for this, but right now as long as we can get through the interview and stay together, that's all that matters in the long run.

:help:

Goodness, I hope so! I remember reading a while back that a few people were being approved without an interview, I will cross my fingers (for my husband's sake! :P) that we get automatic approval!

Thanks for the reassurance, I will post back when I find out. :D
