guess what? i passed my medical!!

first off, thanks to everyone who gave me advice when i was soooo confused of going or not going for my medical yet... what i did was, i faced my fear and went to see a pulmonologist and it turned out that what i have is allergic rhinitis w/ post nasal drop syndrome and that i had no tb as i feared!!! i was like so happy to hear the news. when i told my husby about it, he was so relieved and he told me to leave for manila right away and so i did.

i had my medical last oct 29 & 30. the procedures took only a few minutes, it's the waiting that ate most of my time. but it didn't matter, really! everybody was nice, from the doctors to the nurses, to the medtechs, radtechs, the guards and the people at the reception area. thank god!

first day, i went there at 9:00 and finished at 4:30.

1. xray - 10 minutes waiting

2. height and weight - 30 minutes waiting

3. vital signs - 1.5 hours waiting

4. HIV & Pregnancy tests - 10 minutes waiting

5. physical exam - 2 hours waiting

6. immunization interview - 3 hours waiting

second day, i went back at 1:30 and finished at 7:30 in the evening.

1. immunization - 4.5 hours waiting

2. document release - 1.5 hours waiting

i am usually a very impatient person, but i was surprised at how patient i was for those two days. y'know why?? i was telling God that it didn't matter that i had to wait for a very loooooong time, just as long as i passed i won't complain!! and thank heavens, i did!!!

by the way, one of the employees is my classmate from college, but i didn't ask for help from him... he was soooo busy with all the people coming and going so i just sat there and and just waited for my name to be called. i just approached him when i was at the last stage of my medical exam waiting for the release of the results and there he offered to follow up on my documents... it could have been a lot easier for me if i approached him right at the first day. hehe! but then again, it's all fine. i passed. period!

i'm sorry to have bugged you all. but my deepest gratitude for all your advice, every bit of it helped me a lot!

my advice now for all those who will be going for medical soon, don't let your paranoia rule you. just place all your fears and worries to Gods hands. He will definitely not let you down!
