In Edmonton, we saw fewer and fewer kids each year. Apparently, the kids would go to the mall and trick or treat at the shops. I guess for parents they felt like it was warmer, safer and more secure.

City of almost 1 million people and we'd get maybe 30 kids the past few years. When I moved in in 1998 we had 75-100 kids.

I sound like gramma Clarke recounting the good ol days.

PS: Its 12:30 in HI and wondering what time they start trick or treating at. Back home it was around 6pm.

Just started here - about 7 pm - had two groups at once - 13 in all so far and more on the street. Have had baseball players, monsters, ninja fighters, 50s girl, a black cat, little kids in store bought costumes and some in homemade costumes - yep, it's Hallowe'en!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

:luv: - I love Halloween.

My fav costume I ever saw was a home/hand made pink unicorn. Her mane was made of golden yard. Cutest costume ever!
