Hi, I will have my AOS interview soon.

Well, all the utility bills have my mother in law's name since I live with her.

So, I try to add my name on my husband's cell phone bill. ( Should have two names on the bill next month)

Now, we all rent this house together under her name. And my husband and I pay rent to her.

Is it ok to ask my mother in law to write a letter saying we live with her?

Also, my husband already owns a car before marriage and I do not drive.

I will have my state ID soon, but my name is not going to be on his car insurance.

We do have a shared bank account, credit cards, insurance cards( I am under his plan) and insurance statements sent to me. But, so far, we have no mail which have both my husband and my name together. My husband and I have a lot of mail which were sent to the same address such as my social security card, cell phone bill, bank statement etc.

Do I have to have the mail which has BOTH my name and his name????

If my experience is anything to go by, you should be fine. All we had was a joint apartment lease and joint bank account, and then photos/cards from each other and other people. We didn't have any joint mail, though I took mail for me at USC husband's address. I didn't have a DL at that point, so no car insurance, and no joint health as he is ex-military. We did get three friends to write affidavits about our relationship. It seems like you already have about the same amount of evidence, you can definitely get your mother-in-law to write something too. Maybe you can show the rent payments on joint bank statements? Maybe also friends, saying how you two have a bona-fide marriage and you live with his mother? We had comparatively little evidence, and it didn't seem like a big deal, the IO didn't copy or keep anything either. Hope your interview goes well!

Removing conditions:

10/9/10 - Package sent to Vermont

10/13/10 - NOA1 date, received 10/18
