we have health insurance.. and a good one at that but even if we only have to pay 10 percent of hospital stays or surgeries that adds up when you have a couple of hospital stays and surgeries in one year ..

Most bancruptcy in the US is as a result of difficulties paying medical expenses. Which other developed industrialized nation has this problem? Hmm, can't think of one. Still, why bother to change anything? After all, we wouldn't want to 'reward' the lazy with preventative medecine if it might save everyone money, how stupid would that be?

I have to agree with VW that poor and rich is relative. This is interesting considering that I disagree most of the time with her.

Anyway, my reasoning is that usually the offsprings of the rich are lazy. How come they're rich? On the other hand, how come those who work hard for 7 years and makes about 12 dollars/hour max is poor? It's not lazy. They're not smart to go out and educate themselves a little bit so they can earn more.

Nowadays, there's so many small business owners in the same market that it's hard to even make a profit due to competition.

your statement is really silly... it is hard to just go and educate yourself.. that costs money.. and most people need their money for basic living costs...

my hubby went to a community college for HVAC.. it was hard to do that plus work full time and even though it was fairly inexpensive compared to university etc, it still adds up after text books etc...

Yes, it's hard. That is the point of sacrificing your life for 6 months or so to learn a trade at a local community college. Maybe I put a double edge sword. My statement makes it sound easy to say, but, walking it does require sacrifice. Not only that, most schools know you're struggling and will get you financial aid.

I lived there at one time myself... NYC, CA, etc. are very expensive so 250K there is like 100K (or less) anywhere else. My point is that the McCainiacs are getting screwed & don't even realize it because they are too busy hating liberals or anyone that supports Obama.
