No, it's really very sad, that there are enough people trying to drive a wedge between the have's and have nots. These people use stereotypes and generalizations to paint a picture of the way they want us to believe people are. The 'good' guys who sweat and endure and never complain or use a helping hand and the 'bad' guys who wheedle and snivel and demand and moan and complain and of course never, ever work.

The stereotypes and generalizations are true. The poor are either lazy or stupid, or both.

after going through the spouse immigration ... job changes ... twins ... etc, etc ....

I now need to become lazy and stupid to proclaim ... I'm poor ?

Anyone can become poor due to a convergence of unfortunate factors; however if you're not

lazy or stupid, you won't stay poor for long.

true ... and being so gives fresh perspective on those that suck off the gov't teat

Poppycock - all one has to do in the US is contract an expensive disease, of worse yet, have a dpendant older family member who contracts one.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I hope the author is up to date on his child support, has no liens on his property, is not delinquent in paying taxes or has a talkative ex-wife. The left will try to immediately discredit him because his opinion runs contrary to theirs.

Yes. Because the left show no mercy when questioned.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

That would make one stupid for not purchasing health insurance.

Oh, that's right, no health insurance is inadequate, or is expensive, or is geared to maximise health insurance companies profits for minimum outlay. Silly me.

As for the support groups, what the ####? Who pays for those, exactly?

Nothing's perfect. How many people go bankrupt as a result of having inadequate health coverage?

How many poor people are out there? Nuff said.
