Question for the mommies, or anyone that may know... What do you give a baby that has thrush in her mouth?

My daughter had that twice I think. They gave her some liquid medicine (can't remember the name). I would give her bottled water and that cleared her mouth quicker than the medicine. I also wiped her tongue with a warm cloth about 3x/day. Hope that helps.....................

I also decided im not going to JA in January as planned, im kinda sad about it but decided I need to give the SO time to sort out his baby mama drama, and since im not gonna allow his drama to be my drama, i dont know when im going back....

I can change the dates on my ticket for a cost i believe, so who knows? (((( sigh)))

Sorry to hear that Honey. I hope he sorts out his drama.

Honey, sometimes you have to take a step back to force him to deal with his drama. That is one drama I can tell you will not resolve itself. He has to deal with it.

I hope it all works out for the best for you.

curry conch? Wow..that's has to be interesting. What about chicken gizzards? I like mine fried with mustard and hot sauce. Ryan..cooked them down...i didn't even attempt to taste.

Andre made them once. I made the mistake of later telling him I ate them cause he made them; but I don't like them. Since, we've had a package of gizzards in the freezer and he refuses to touch them.

Saltfish flitters are the best. I could eat them every day. With some fried egg and plantain.....HEAVEN!

DJ made gizzards one trip when I was there - I kept telling him the whole way through the store that I was NOT eating them - he kept insisting that I would - Everyone was laughing at us in the store. He cooked them - I went to the beach and got some jerk chicken

I love flitters - We grew up on clam or zucchini ones -

Gill/Lawny - What are fritters?

KK,

to answer your question. You typically chop up onions, peppers, tomatoes and cooked saltfish into a bowl with plain flour. Add some black pepper and other dry seasonings You then add water until you have a paste like mixture...thin or thick depending upon your taste (we usually add a little ketchup too(hush Lawny)).

Then you fry the batter in pancke sized fritters...some J'cans call them Flitters (like my hubby), but it's actually fritters. Try them I beat you'll love it!

Gill

We make them with canned salmon if we don't have any saltfish. Not bad that way either.

Ya'll see Jamaicans protesting in DC...I posted the pic

3 of them? They don't look overly exuberant about it either, Tre.

Oh okay. Well I hope the thrush clears up. They say that its not discomforting, it just looks gross

It definitely makes sense to feel all those, Honey - Hang in there - It's a hard choice to make - but I believe that what is meant to be will be -

I agree. I am sure anyone in that situation would be feeling a whole range of different emotions. Try and take it easy and pray for clarity and guidance.

Ladies...I want to make sorrel for my family for Christmas. Where can I find the sorrel sepals? Do they sell them in regular stores, or do I have to go to a specialty store? I'm in NC and am not aware of a Jamaican market around.
