How much did you spend and how many attendees at the wedding/reception? I know that prices today are so much more than a few years back but want a roundabout figure so I don't get sticker shock later

11/05/12 - NOA-1 received, notice date 10/31/2012, received and priority date 10/29/2012

11/09/12 - Biometrics notice received, biometrics appointment date 11/19/12

11/21/12 - In line for interview scheduling (letter received via USPS mail 12/17/12)

01/16/13 - N-400 interview/testing - APPROVED! Oath ceremony letter received late Jan. 2013

02/26/13 - OATH CEREMONY COMPLETED - NATURALIZED US CITIZEN!

751 - Removing Conditions

06/28/08 - Sent 751 packet to CSC via USPS Priority Mail (signature required)

07/05/08 - NOA received, dated 6/30/08

10/23/08 - Card ordered: APPROVED! (USCIS website)

10/30/08 - 10 YR GREENCARD RECEIVED

K-1 and AOS

07/07/05 - K1 Packet received - USPS tracking

09/19/05 - K1 approval online

12/01/05 - 1st K1 interview in Kingston: need updated birth certificate

12/13/05 - 2nd K1 interview in Kingston: Approved!

05/01/06 - AOS/EAD packet received

08/09/06 - AOS interview in SF: APPROVED!

J...i spent about $5000 US not including mi dress and mi granny dress and mi aunty and di list goes on :rofl: we had 45 ppl...with the reception place we got any cake of out choice and a black cake..and we bought non-alcoholic wine...but mi neva did a tink mi should only got a couple non-alcoholic and rest regular ...i ppl a ask weh di liquor :bonk: so mi tell dem one bar up do road go buy it..dyam brite :rofl:

Does anyone watch "My Fair Bride" on WE tv? I never believed in hiring a wedding planner but David Tutera is good :yes: I'm tossing a few ideas back and forth for our renewal (rapidly approaching) and I know we need to start saving for it now. Did anyone hire a planner or did you all coordinate your own weddings?

I love that show....well anything on the WE channel, especially Bridezillas.

Jonesie - I've been reseaching prices on Negril and Mobay. I can foward what I have so far. We just can't figure out when and where we're going to have it :wacko: January is our anniversary date but it's too expensive and Damien can't take off right after the holidays.

Question for you ladies, when you finally get a chance to check in....Does your SO plan on becoming a US citizen, or do they just want to become a LPR? If they don't want to be a US Citizen, what do you think/how do you feel about that, and why?

Mawin Mrs. P; he wants his citizenship. We talked about this before he got her and I think it makes it a lot easier (especially) when apply for jobs and such and travelling. Some may feel like they giving up where they come from (I never DID). And I say to that, get over it.

Morning guys!

how is everyone today?

For those of us waiting on our SO's do you find there are days that are almost unbareable?

I know last year was really hard for me, but since I came back this summer it has been a little easier.....until last week. and today- it is smothering :(

I miss him a lot..and then add to that the fact that we have been waiting about 13 months and will get a January date at the EARLIEST...

guys..please pray we get a january date :(

anyway.. I hope noone else is having an unbareable day :)

Shrewdie, I have faith that you will get a January date - We are all sending prayers that it will happen!

I definitely find some days harder than others - I also am finding that after each trip, the separation is harder and harder -

I agree! Expecially after this summer. Something happened, ya know? we got into our routine and we really became MARRIED the couple of months I was there. I think I just block it out alot and then there are those quiet moments when it hits me. blech!

Yes. We plan on filing next August, when he is eligible.

Slightly tired this morning and nursing a pulled chest muscle( i hope) from wrestling with a 9 year old, who acted a for real fool.

Feel better Honey - Your kid, or work? Be careful with that - When you work in a field like that and overwork yourself, you are prone to injuries.
