JG is correct if the dental office is contracted with the insurance then it should be ur copay or ur deductable plus what the contracted rate is for the insurance on routine exams. Although with crowns and such some insurance companies have a coverage max on some non routine dental care and so they require a separate deductable or quoted separately under ur dental plan. So the crown or whatever can cost $1500 but the plan only pays $500 and then ur responsible for the rest in or out of network..

Then I asked her if she wanted the address to the cemetery so that she could send bills to my Dad and try to get paid - If she managed to reach him, to tell him we all said hi - She was speechless.

I went to Lord and Taylor's for a benefit night last night that had a 30% discount off of all, even colognes - I have a new favorite men's cologne - Calvin Klein Euphoria. I bought a gift set for DJ - And the sales girl gave me about 40 different samples too!

 OMG I am laughing so hard over here  You go Sus!

Great deal on the cologne! I am sure DJ will love it.

Sus, I would have done thie same thing. When I would get telemarketing calls I would put the phone in front of the speakers and blast some calypso (no more calls).

I need to do something.......Apparently 3 people who had our phone number went to collections. I got so tired of getting the calls, my machine says "if you are calling for (insert name) or (insert name) they don't live here, never have and never will. STOP CALLING." Tre, you know. I made you laugh with it. Well, last week, they are calling for another name. Geez. I think this number is cursed.

Do you feel bad feeling that way, Kimmy? Cause I go through the same thing.....she's sitting on her ###, drinking some magnum and going out to the clubs, and we are working 3, sometimes 4 jobs between us....Yes, I get an attitude sometimes. Then, I feel bad. Finally, we wear down and send $100 and she'll call and say thanks; but I really need $100 more. The cycle starts all over again for me at that point.

I hate to be what I feel is mean and non-caring; but there are limits and she manages to make me reach them very quickly. Do you go through that? Do you feel bad?

JG, yes mi cuss and think of every logical reason fi not send her the money and then, like u start to feel guilty that i tryng to keep food out of these girls mouths. And she never calls to say thanks, not that she has to say thanks for him feeding his kids but u know how much man out there wah don't give a rats. He has to tell her to let the girls call him just because..come on..there are soo many things..mi no inna no war wid no odda ooman..I'm grown she can war wid har self..mi tell har wedda she like it or not her girls and my girls are sisters

My issue, though, is these aren't HIS kids. And, she had a job. She quit it cause she didn't like cooking all day. And, 2 of his sisters are old enough to work....one, older then him. And, 3 of these kids....their baby daddy....she still sees him, gives him money for him, his live-in GF, and their kids. At least three other fathers are in the area. How, besides that we live here, does it really all fall under his responsibility?

Can you see why I get so angry all the time? And, why I get angry withmyself for falling for it again and again and again just cause we love those kids?

i'm trying to figure out a way to make my "donations" tax deductible...

When you do, pass that info. on, please.

Hi Yardies! Just wanted to let you know that my timeline has started today! I'm nervous but happily excited at the same time! Mailed the I-129F package off and now it's just waiting and getting prepared for the next phase. Now I can sit back a little bit and just enjoy this crazy thread now that all of the gathering and assembling is done! ;)

Can anyone answer this for me for a friend of mine. What kind of lawyer is needed if the plumbing problems in the house are the fault of the initial installment when house was purchased 5 years ago. Plumbing seal around toilet has had to be fixed 3 times. Due to the damage, the dry wall is messed up. The Plumbing has been fixed due to much argument, but they refuse to fix the other damages.

How much $$$ are you talking? Might be small claims.

Good luck Acrow :star:

Hi Shem :D

This process is a money draining endevor...and it sure doesn't end when they get here. 3+ years later and we are still paying USCIS

Hi :D

We are too. More money January for citizenship :crying: I just want everything to be done.

SJB

We all know what you mean

Tell me once we have 2 year green card can you file for the next thing (removal of conditions I thinkg) when you are 6 months til expiration?

Lawd god girlie..that is funny. I'm thinking instead of paying for dental work here to save the money and go to JA when we get AP and let them fix dem rass teeth!

90 days before expiration. NOT 3 months. Count back 90 days from the expiration date on the GC.

You can file Removing of Conditions 90 days before your green card expires and then naturalization you can file 90 days before the immigrant has been a permenant resident for 3 years (minus time spent outside of the US).

You don't have to apply for citizenship either. We're only doing it for employment purposes.

Good point. It isn't mandatory and you can file for it anytime after that intial timeframe. There isn't a mandatory filing date like with ROC.

We are doing naturalization for a number of different reasons but mainly to be done with USCIS and not worry about all this change of address/renew your greencard #######.

Our reasons exactly.

I can't imagine remembering every 10 years to file again and again and again.

Anyone have any issues with their SO getting credit with their SSN?? Chris tried sign up for moneygram online n that dum site even gave him trouble. When he called they said they couldnt find any info in respect to his SSN and same with his job, they had issues. Whats the easiest way to start building credit??

Through our bank. Once he was on an account and his paychecks direct deposited.

Hey, watch moneygram. We sent about a month ago and the guy at the distribution place in MoBay kept additional funds that he called part of the "processing fee." I was hopping mad.

Can you link him to one of your credit cards? Or put a utility bill in his name, get a secured credit card, something - They aren't finding any info because no one has made any report on him yet - That's actually not a bad thing, lol

He NEEDS to be added to the utility bills as soon as you can. That is needed for ROC anyhow. And, yes, you should be able to add him to all credit cards. All I did was send a letter with my payments saying I married, here's a copy of my marriage certificate, change my name, and add his to the card. No problems.

Tanks everyone!

My guy is a 'jacket' too (is that the right reference?) and reading up there about sending money to a lazy woman makes me worry that once he gets here she might start trying to hit him up for some $$. I'm taking all his paychecks so the only money that gets sent is to his granny! (Try not to laugh too hard at me okay?)

JALOVE - Ryan got credit card offers in the mail..one from capital one. He opened one card and his credit has been established.

Capital One's CEO is SATAN!

even without a ssn?

Yes, even without an SSN - You are giving them permission to use your credit.

great!

I will do that!

one thing is for sure though.. when he comes NO CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD at first.. shew. he has NO CONCEPT

Um....yeah....I had to take it away a few times after a good cussing. He's been really good the last year or so.

CAPITAL ONE...I know some people don't like them, but my friends that have moved here from Jamaica and other countries said they had no problems getting a card from them once they started working.

:devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil:
