I have a question for u guys. I have a cell phone bill I havent paid, well it went to collections and now they are writing stating a settlement for 59% of what I owe. Should I pay it or leave it. I heard that if I pay it, it will still be on my credit.

1luv, i have a bill with Sprint that i owe cause they suck azz and i refuse to pay it settlement or not, cause if you do yeah they will stop harassing you but it will reflect on your credit report as a charge off or settlement, i mean eventually it will come off.

I am over here rejoicing this morning, i had to come up with 1075 dollars out the crack of my azz, to secure the deposit on my house im moving into, this was on the same day that i paid rent for my current apartment so yall know things over here are tight.. i was all stressed cause i was thinking i wasnt gonna get paid from my pt time jpb cause i was in ja a couple weeks ago, and i havent figured out how the payroll falls, anyway whatever, !!!!i woke up and checked my account and we are rolling thank you jesus, now im good, and back on track!!!

I don't know about in Canada but in the US it will still be on there it will just show as a paid of collection

who wants a bad azz 14 year old girl that knows every d@mn thang? I am about to knock this child's head off. She just missed her d@mn bus for the umpteenth time. I heard the d@mn bus stop I'm yelling your bus is outside. This heffa walking all slow thru the house like she some kind of F'n diva! Man I want to bash her head her school is like 14 miles from the house!!!!! She does whatever she can to Piss me off!

1luv - The bottom line is that they want their money - Haggle with them - Get them to agree (in writing) that the account will be marked as paid in full and closed by consumer - all negative info removed. That is the original account, not the collection account - Also that they will remove the collection activity will be removed from your credit history - Do this before agreeing to pay.

I had fun with collections yesterday - My Mom got a call from Bank of America on Weds night - trying to collect an $8000 credit card debt of my Dads that we had no clue of - She was so upset when I got home. So, I took the woman's number and called her back - She was trying to explain to me that someone had placed the account into their estate queue - I asked her if my Mom was on the account as a joint holder (no) - I asked if they had been notified of his death, probate, etc.. (yes) - Then I asked her if she wanted the address to the cemetery so that she could send bills to my Dad and try to get paid - If she managed to reach him, to tell him we all said hi - She was speechless.

I went to Lord and Taylor's for a benefit night last night that had a 30% discount off of all, even colognes - I have a new favorite men's cologne - Calvin Klein Euphoria. I bought a gift set for DJ - And the sales girl gave me about 40 different samples too!
