Hi Everyone!!! Waving

This last couple of weeks has been a tornado of events. The biggest is dental work for hubby!! to the tune of almost $5000!!!!!!!!!! :crying::unsure::blink: Lord all I can tell you is he requires so much stuff to be done to his mouth and our insurance is only covering a small amount.

When I call the insurance company they give me much lower prices to pay than the dentist. However, dentist insist they are right and we are wrong. Not sure what we're going to do at this point.

Hubby says dental work in JA is much cheaper but he never was able to go because he was busy taking care of all the rest of the family and making sure they were alright - ray ray ray.

If this is true I would recomend this be added to the list of things to do before your SO comes to the states.

I saw the wonderful birthday wishes from you guys and truly want to say thank you thank you

What's being going on in the VJ world i'm so many pages behind?

Wakey

Wakey - NO....they just pulled my husband's tooth whenever he went to dentist in Jamaica.

We went to dentist here. He needs some fillings..but no where near $5000..

My hubby's had 5 cleanings, 2 fillings, and his wisdom teeth pulled. A couple of hundred I think it ended up being.

Hi Wakey...(waving)

Pam..in JA ost schools have dental trips..do u guys notice how many ppl in JA have alot of dental caries...

And on those dental trips - do the children get their teeth cleaned. What if the parents can't afford it? Then what happens.? The amount the cousin needed wasn't bad - but mi being a newbie to the "send money" trail I sent a nice sum the week prior to the dentist incident. Enough for at least 10 children to get their damn teeth cleaned  . After this happened I told the ex - we will send money monthly and your cousin will have to make do. And if she can't then she can just wait to you start working.

 some do pay..but if u can't afford it yuh pickney no go :) u were very generous damn..

I hadn't/didn't asked my VJ sisters enough questions - I wasn't generous - I just got took. Highway robbery!:crying:

Well, now you know. Take it as a lesson learned.

Sorry.

Do you feel bad feeling that way, Kimmy? Cause I go through the same thing.....she's sitting on her ###, drinking some magnum and going out to the clubs, and we are working 3, sometimes 4 jobs between us....Yes, I get an attitude sometimes. Then, I feel bad. Finally, we wear down and send $100 and she'll call and say thanks; but I really need $100 more. The cycle starts all over again for me at that point.

I hate to be what I feel is mean and non-caring; but there are limits and she manages to make me reach them very quickly. Do you go through that? Do you feel bad?

JG, yes mi cuss and think of every logical reason fi not send her the money and then, like u start to feel guilty that i tryng to keep food out of these girls mouths. And she never calls to say thanks, not that she has to say thanks for him feeding his kids but u know how much man out there wah don't give a rats. He has to tell her to let the girls call him just because..come on..there are soo many things..mi no inna no war wid no odda ooman..I'm grown she can war wid har self..mi tell har wedda she like it or not her girls and my girls are sisters

My issue, though, is these aren't HIS kids. And, she had a job. She quit it cause she didn't like cooking all day. And, 2 of his sisters are old enough to work....one, older then him. And, 3 of these kids....their baby daddy....she still sees him, gives him money for him, his live-in GF, and their kids. At least three other fathers are in the area. How, besides that we live here, does it really all fall under his responsibility?

Can you see why I get so angry all the time? And, why I get angry withmyself for falling for it again and again and again just cause we love those kids?

Wakey.... i had to laugh when you talked about dewayne and the dentist....

i was thinking to myself between my bad teeth, my sons snaggle teeth, my teenagers braces and then dwayne, we gonna go broke going to the dentist.. cause he is gonna need some MAJOR dental work, but he so dang scary about pain and needles and stuff, im probably gonna have to drag him to the dentist.

Did your dewayne go willingly or did he put up a fight???

My hubby went almost excitedly. After, he said he is taking his machette with him and if that guy hurts him again, he is going to chop him up.

Lawd Gaad...my husband's teeth are perfect and he's never been to a dentist until he got here. When he told the dentist he's never had any dental care she gave him a strange look

You and Marcel have been blessed from the start. I only wish everything had been going so smooth for us but that's just how the cookie crumbles as they say.

Ya'll have to forgive my absense I been sitting here reading up on the post from past three or four days. All I can say is WOW. I'm not even caught up but dang there was some deep conversation to the girl JAeyes. IMO I don't think enough questions were asked before providing feedback that she is being used. If she isn't or is I'm sure she will look at things differently from here on out.

As for me and my hubby we were talking about a possible future together 2-3 months after meeting and decided to go for it after 6. Yes, I still get the crazy looks about it from people and if a problem comes up I'm told we didn't know enough about each other. In all honestly in a long distance relationship of any kind all you have are other means of communication: letters, phone calls, emails etc. I do know the statistics of the amout of marriages fail and had to say to myself - You can let it go and go with it and once I prayed about I went with it. I don't regret it.

I'm not going to get on here and say we wake up to flower petals and birds singing outside our window everyday. I even posted about the eye opening revelations I experienced when he first got here. We still deal with everyday marriage issues like just now I left the room for half a sec and he cut off the light forgetting I was coming back. I know many people choose not to reveal the ups and downs of their relationships but it is what is and everyone knows that no one person's life is perfect. Calling one person names is like casting stones in my opinion and is something we have to ask if we'd want the same treatment when it's our time to share.

For me I had to ensure I was in a relationship where I could be myself, be cherished, loved and go from there.

I pray the newbie jaeyes got what she needed in terms of advice. Good luck

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

They are requesting payment after services rendered. I'm still working on the explantion of benefits because Aetna is telling me certain services like crowns of any kind are only 150. and the dentist says it's 1400 a piece..ARGGHH

he went willingly. With it being his first time he didn't have any expectations. I don't know how hard it will be to go back when time for the surgery. I may have to do some wifely convincing :innocent:

She has a new new song out....Lion, Tigers and Bears....something crazy like that. Love that song.

 That's it. Going to download on my ipod....

Portland...I used to have the same problem with the head scarf. It would never stay on. I'm going natural now...so I don't tie nothing up..I just go to sleep. Husband is soo happy..he hate the scarf. Now I just have to stop sleep with long pants pajamas...He doesn't like that either. I got to work on my sexy sleeping side. :content:

 Are we sisters?

Damien bought me some Victoria Secret panties to sleep in  The secret is - my fat butt can't fit them  .

Anybody ever do Night Auditor work for a hotel before or know anyone who has? Just wondering what kind of work it would be.

I did Yaads. You just run reports about the rooms and money brought in etc. It is easy I used to do my work within 2 hours and sleep the rest of the time.

Wakey

Wakey have your insurance co call the dentist or find another dentist on your plan. I work in healthcare billing the patient should always only pay what the insurance says is owed!! That is it becuase the insurance knows the contract they have with the provider. A lot of times the people in the provider's office have no knowledge of their contract with teh provider. PM me if you need more info.
