Morning everyone!

Claire, I agree with the advice everyone has given - You have to follow your heart, but use your mind as well - take things slow, see how things progress, work on it together -- if it is meant to be, it will be - Kimmy's idea is a good one - have him come for a visit - I wouldn't jump to moving in together, but I wouldn't turn my back on the possibility that you will make it as a couple - What doesn't break you only makes you stronger in the end. I wish you luck, and you know we are always here for you!

Kimmy, the girls are so so cute - I love the chubby cheeks!

JG, you are sad with the shampoo bottle, lol - Although I guess I am the same bc I won't take a bath without my book (unless I have company, lol). I will read just about anything, but mainly fluff stuff - I read so much serious ####### at work and school that I want mindless.

Some of my favorites are JD Robb, Nora Roberts, Janet Evonovitch, Eric Jerome, Dickey, Tess Garritson, Sandra Brown - I also love legal thrillers and mysteries -

I started the Sista Souljah last night - it is actually a sequel to Coldest Winter Ever, for those who read that - it tells the story of Midnight - really really good so far - but I had to put it down - have to do my homework before I can read it, lol

Oh yeah, I like Janet Evonovitch too. I like a lot of strong women in books can you tell by some of the authors?

Try Laurell K. Hamilton, if you haven't read her. The vampire series. Vampires and animal shape shifters in St. Louis. They work in strip clubs. She's a real a$$ kicker who ends up having sex (lots and lots of sex) with them. It's hysterical. Start with the first one, though, cause the rest build on them.

For those that filed K-1, how did you plan a wedding? Where did you do your wedding and reception? What was the cost of your wedding? I have been married twice before, and never wanted a wedding until now (mostly because I did not want to get married before). I have been looking a t many options for my area, but have found that even a small wedding will be an arm and a leg for us! But I will not give it up due to cost! This is it, THE ONE, so it will be all I dream of.

On another subject, Steve has found that due to a hurricane a long time ago the hospital does not have records of his immunizations. Is there somewhere else we could find them, maybe some sort of registry? If not, can we get them done with any doctor while I ma there in January or does it need to be a specific doc?

One more thing, has anyone found a need for a high school diploma in the process or once they are here?

There are ways to cut costs if you want to do a nice wedding.

Make your own invitations. A computer and a kit from a craft store and you are good to go.

Make your own flowers. I did mine....again craft store. A lot can show you how to do them or you can google instructions on the internet. I made my bouquets and bouts and paid the craft store to make my bows cause I am horrible at bows.

You can have it at home with reception in your yard or rent some kind of small hall....Church, VFW, a park pavillion, etc.

Can you enlist help from friends, family, neighbors for foods? Or just have champagne and cake after the wedding.

Know anyone who takes good pictures and has a nice camera?

You can make it as big or as intimate as you like. Think outside the box.

I am full of questions today...Anyone familiar with the I-134 affidavit of support? I am using my mom as a co-sponsor. She and my father are still together adn they share a bank account and file joint taxes. Do we all 3 need to fill out seperate I-134's? Or does just she and I need to do it? My father is on disability and my mother has a substantial income, unfortunately I fall a few thousand short of the requirement!

If I should not ask here where else should I ask? Which forum-there are too many to choose from-?

Can you have just your Mom sign as a co-sponsor? Then the two of you would fill one out - I believe your Dad would be viewed as her dependent - The guide info at the top of the page says that everyone fills one out. If I were you, I would rather be safe than sorry and have it completed by all three of you so that it is done -

Yes.

Is anyone planning on going shopping on Black Friday?

Hell no.

I will be out in the madness. I have to work 11-8 that day. I hope I can even find a parking spot.

I agreee with you Kimmy - I had friends who were at Kohls, etc.. last year and they saw fights - weaves ripped and all! We did Westbrook and it wasn't bad - Old Navy was chaos when we got there - but their sales were all night so we waited to shop there - Other stores were not bad, and we had 6 of us - whoever finished first stood in line, we pooled our purchases, then divided up who owed who at the end of the night - Worked great.

I worked at Old Navy on Black Friday last year. It is all you can do not to scream at customers all day. So dang rude!

LOL,- I love cats - DJ is a mush when it comes to animals - He got a "guard dog" puppy had a bed in the house - but more often than not, I would wake up to find the dog on DJ's chest! I have a feeling with him that I am going to have to watch the strays that move in.

I love my dog and my cat. They play so cute together.

Me too. There's nothing is our bedroom but a bed and a tv. We can't agree on bedroom furniture. He likes old-fashion and I don't  .

Men..and decorating...don't go together for most of them. My husband was given the basement to turn into his Man cave. He has pictures of Bob Marley, Biggie, Tupac, Scarface... I look okay I guess. Not what I would put in there.

We have this creepy conquistador that follows you around the room with his eyes, a country cabin scene, and a deer head. My husband is nothing, if he isn't eclectic. Everytime someone is getting rid of a something or he visits an antique shop, he comes back with something crazy.

LOL, KK -

My bedroom set is one that I am not budging on, so if he wants to be picky DJ and I will come to battle! If we have a two or more bedroom, it can go in the guest room, but it will be in a room in our house somewhere! My set was my grandparents - it was hand made by my great-grandfather as their wedding present.

We bought this amazing bed earlier this year (thank you, President Bush)...It reminds me of something a queen would sleep on....Dark wood and marble. We actually agreed on that one pretty easily. The bedspread is a whole other story, though.
